I'm sure I'm not the only person who's had this complaint, but I feel like I'm becoming more of a Karen every single day. Customer service is non-existent practically everywhere these days.
The latest perpetrator is my mortgage company. I put down more than twice what my mortgage payment is monthly. I've never missed a payment. So, when my mortgage was bought from the original company I was mortgaged with (who never gave me any problems) by, let's call them Cheap Rat Bastard Mortgage Company, one of the first things that happens is that I get a nastygram from them saying I've missed an insurance payment.
Fuck you, you lying sons of bitches. You do not besmirch my good credit score by saying I didn't pay my bills.
So I call them up and lit up the unfortunate gentleman that answered my call. He explains that there was some sort of turnover in their system and they just didn't catch that payment yet. I would be receiving a letter soon that this has been corrected.
That was last year.
Today, I had to call the fuckers to ask when the fuck their website would be up and running again (it's been down for three weeks) so I could start scheduling payments. Apparently, there is a "hold" on my account because, once again, they've got some updates to their system, and they can't allow me to schedule payments until the end of this month. Good thing for me I already scheduled this month's payment and (supposedly) it's still in the system so my payment will go through as scheduled.
Needless to say, I, on their recorded call, explained very clearly that I, as a good customer and someone who pays on time, didn't deserve to be at their fucking whims just because they don't have their act together.
I get my mortgage paid off in under 5 years. Sooner if I move out of my place, which is looking like a real possibility, and probably a good idea anyway because the HOA won't do shit about the squatters upstairs from me (who, by the way, don't have squatter's rights, but for some god damn reason the police won't do anything about it either). I'll be lucky to get back what I paid for this place because of those shitheads.
