can't remember the specifics but i remember you name in one of these threads and to me it's equally gayish soylent to see some random tourist nobody defending a retarded choice to appease the many censorship demands that a big company and their beancounters came up with.

while i am rambling, i might as well add a question to non-pirated users of RoN once this shit rolls, can you niggers check if modding your game disable crossplay? because these are map object changes (mostly, i mean the gore censorship is gay as fuck but they could have gone with the L4D2 route regarding it) so if you play on a different map that restores everything then some console player might have to download it too and that might be seen as a censorship circumvent attempt and block your ability to play with console people, which means VOID or the console publishers arsed into thinking of this move, making this quite retarded.

There is a checksum in the game you can disable in the menus, which will let you play with other modded players.
It would be extremely easy for them to add a console-specific checksum but they purposely chose not to because muh crossplay or something.

I do not share the same hatred/anger towards Void as others in this thread, at least regarding this stuff. I believe they did honestly do the bare minimum to get the game on consoles, and while I'm not happy they removed anything from the game, I don't see this as some grand plan to strip away it's identity to make it something else. If Void wanted the game to be generic shooter game number 57, they wouldn't have shitcanned the multiplayer, they wouldn't have had one of the main plotlines of the game be about a child trafficking ring, they sure as shit wouldn't have made a Tactical Police game in the modern day. There are a dozen things they could change/remove to make the more marketable, and they didn't.
Void lost their publisher over, more than likely, their refusal to remove the School Shooting level. I can't see the leadership walking that back after all this time.

Obviously all this goes out the window if Void's leadership changes sometime in the next year or two.

It's not just that it is more the dis respectfulness that they treat their community with. They EAd the game on steam self-admittedly very unfinished and asking near full price because they lost their publisher. Many people did not think the game in it's state was actually worth the $40 price tag they put on it but bought it anyways and gave it good reviews to support the developers. Then when 1.0 comes out the game is still pretty much the same that it was on EA release with some minor barely noticeable tweaks and polishing plus all the new maps and they still get good reviews.

But now they are doing this, their community is upset, and they are basically just telling everyone to "lol cope" they made almost 200 million dollars by some estimates and at the bare minimum 100 million and they still can't be fucked to put anything but the bare effort in. They are rolling in money and still pulling the whole, "WOWIES ME OUR COMPANY IS SOOOO POOR. AND SMALL"

I am very aware of Void's fuckups and hold a lot of resent towards them, and I don't think any of their comments regarding this shit have been great, but I don't find myself having the same anger others do about it. It sucks, I wish they could have came up with something that wasn't making the PC version worse for the sake of consoles, but I see some talking about this is a sign they are bending the knee and losing their vision, and I just can't really see that being the case.
 
Starting to get the hang of it, the sniper level really fucked me up until I understood how traps work and how the taser is outright broken in dispatching enemies and keeping sanity loss low. My main issue in maps is how to tell my squadmates to use rubber bullets until I say otherwise.

If you wanna do a non-lethal run it's best you load all your guys with non-lethal primaries and order them to swap to sidearms if shit goes south. They tend to prioritize use of whatever is their primary slot and will ignore secondaries unless asked or if they run out of ammo.

Is there a way to distiguish which of the primaries is lethal? It all looks the same to me.

Non Lethals are kinda obvious, pepper ball gun and the beanbag shotgun are all that come to mind though. Do note the beanbag shotgun isn't actually non-lethal, it's less than lethal, it will kill someone if you get a head shot.

There's the beanbag shotgun and the pepperball gun as well, both of which are in bright colors to distinguish themselves.

Yeah the SWAT AI is fairly trigger happy by default and you need to anticipate it if you need to take someone alive.
You can equip them with non-lethal options if you want. Otherwise I try to "play in front of them" for lack of a better word.

The biggest problem they seem to have is that they aren't that good at deploying grenades unless they're told to.
Like if you tell them to flash a room and then clear, for example, they won't use anything else but the flash on the door, even though the room is big enough to warrant multiple. and then since suspects don't usually surrender by default they tend to just shoot at them for resisting.
I try to stay in front of my teammates and be the one throwing additional grenades where it's needed. It's a lot riskier since you're usually one of the first through the door and you need to put a lot of trust in the AI to watch your back but Its what I find works best when Im trying to capture suspects without going fully less-lethal.

Less-lethals have orange furniture. Anything in black, gray, or brown is a lethal weapon.

my duo swat nicknamed this part of the map the rape room cause of the chaos
God damnit it took me two hours to beat. I was really close one time and died in the rape basement. And yeah the foyer is a nightmare, it feels like a dice toss if you have any chance of killing everyone before being shot in turn. In the end I settled for doing as much as I can from the upper floor and then moving from outside on the first so no one is pinned, and even then I had one officer down (incapacitated at least).

Edit:
It took me an hour to beat Elephant (mainly due to taking time to realize beating it single player with high score isn't happening, and then getting fucked over with RNG). Have no idea how you are meant to get high grade without multiplayer.

The smuggler cavern was a walk in the park afterwards.

Also shouldn't there be child NPCs to flashbang? Maybe it's something you need to toggle?
