Twitch is a cesspool but he had no problem using that cesspool to make money. He only cares(but not really) because they won't satisfy his apology fetish and welcome 'the king' back with open arms.

If Twitch offered to give him back everything he had he'd run back and memoryhole his whole 'twitch is for lefties' rant.

Who is he trying to pander to anyway? the disdain for DSP is bipartisan and includes people from all walks of life.

Funny thing is according to some lore DSP was the prototype when it came to protecting certain streamers from repercussions. If true it would be extra hilarious that he was shitcanned at the end. And even though he is now on Kick the more "free" platform he treats the chat there just the same with Snortkorea levels of moderation. And never forget he gets payed by simply being watched. (unless there is a trick that he can be watched by it doesn't count. something like this exists for Youtube and is also basis for H3H3's lawsuit)

Twitch more or less did, they just didn't apologize to him. But Phil was never banned or anything and he was told he could reapply to the partnership program in like a month or two. Which he'd pretty much be guaranteed to get, I don't remember the exact requirements to become a partner, but it's basically "stream for X hours, with Y viewers" with both the numbers being pretty low as far as streaming goes. There might be one or two other things, but nothing Phil would struggle with. There is and never was anything keeping Phil from going back to Twitch except Phil's own ego.

Raw Phil is monetized, he has 99 cent memberships and superchats. I would guess he disabled ad revenue, though. He'd only get a couple bucks per day so why bother.

Usual "not a lawyer" disclaimer, but I think as far as damages go, ad revenue is what really matters, since that's what Phil would actually get if detractors theoretically watched his channel instead. Like, if a bootlegger sold you a movie for $20, and you gave them $50 to support their bandwidth costs or whatever, the company that actually owned the movie could collect all those $20 movie sales as damages, but the $50 tip (aka superchat in this circumstance) wouldn't realistically be part of that. There's also no way to prove that someone who superchatted in Raw Phil would have superchatted in Phil's chat if Raw Phil was down/become a member. But a view is a view. The issue is, YouTube views really aren't worth that much, especially not the relatively small numbers that Raw Phil gets in terms of like, actual YouTube numbers that matter.

I've been wracking my brain because Phil keeps saying things like "I'll own your house". I think that he believes that since he makes 200 dollars with 300 viewers, if the restreamers have 600 viewers, then they made 400 and that money should be his. Phil never really did grasp that Twitch thing back in the day that showed he makes more money per viewer than almost anyone else thanks to his begging.

I gotta say kicking up a notch all the worst lolcow traits our boy has to offer is pretty disgusting while also compensating all the begging, i think they dropped the ball by having the dents still giving money. This returning mini arc has been a 5.5/10 for me. I enjoyed the cope and delusions as always, but this time around it got some extra spice due to undisclosed background happenings with our mentally deficient main character. The speculation around what the writers were cooking made the journey fun, but sadly the payoff was just NOT there. Taking 4.5 points off for writing the dents just as retarded as always, no character development whatsoever for over like 10 years straight.

This had so much potential.

I've said this ages ago but personally I think that the only classes he probably half understood and half paid attention to during college were marketing classes. The term "detractor" itself is a marketing term and a lot of the schemes and scams he pulls try to use basic marketing strategies such as FOMO or priming. The roots of modern marketing come from WWII-era propaganda and one of the strategies employed was making your enemies seem both extremely weak and an existential threat at the same time.

also, you don't really need to donate to get 1st place. if you're one of the first person watching the stream, you'll most likely get 1st place since it gives you points every 5 mins or so. basically, these people are spending money for nothing.
