Blue Archive - The south Korean Gacha game that almost died, is now being released on Steam this summer.

Starting the game and trying retrying on the first 10 pull, I'm probably keeping it just for meme value

Probably best to just keep it and make use of the 100 free rolls that end in less than 24h. I dunno how many free gems they give new accounts, but if you manage to then do another 100 pulls (12.000 gems) to hit 200 roll points on the current banner, that guarantees you a 3*

Reminder that even after you clear the Code BOX event, new Field Exploration Episodes are unlocked daily

What I am trying to figure out with BA's infamous community, is why did some of them became obsessed with how the girls smell like? I don't see other fandoms being obsessed with a character's smell like how Blue Archive's fandom is.

That part of BA community choose the "infamous" kayfabe route to gatekeep out tourists. Coupled with them being able to differentiate between fictional characters and real people.

It is, unironically, all ironic. The goal is to keep as many people of poor character away from the game, and the entire "notorious BA community" thing started slightly less than a year ago. Retards on Twitter tried their usual "um ackshully the game is leftists-coded" mantra, and the reaction was (and still is) extremely hostile and aggressive. I'll be honest, there might be some people out there who don't do it ironically, but a solid 90% of the entire smell/sweat/pee posts are about keeping away people who would otherwise try to subvert the game's message like they did in the past.

The "notorious BA community" had been there from the beginning from BA's first trailers. Although it wasn't hostile (against tourists) until relatively recently.

Gotta do what you gotta do to keep out those people from taking over and subverting everything. Plus BA already have problems back in Worst Korea with that men hating women's cult fucking with them. In addition to the issues with the translators keep wanting to fuck with the translations for the global servers.

I mean I do think some people take it too far, but look up "Blue Archive trans" on Twitter and you'll see that most posts are them complaining about how hostile the BA community is to the very idea of trans characters. Look up "Uma Musume trans" instead and you'll see that most posts are about how the characters are trans because they're named after male racehorses. Utterly ridiculous, but these people don't care as long as they can claim something else for their camp.

I won't get too much into this topic because it would need a thread of its own, but the South Korean gender war is an issue deeply rooted in the very culture of South Korea and how they deal with societal problems at large, with women getting blamed out of frustration. Their weird Confucianist structuring of society puts women at the very bottom, inherently, it blames them for the wider problems of their society.

For BA, it just some of the PVs had that hand sign drawn in with some of the characters and viewers had spotted them. So the PVs had to be screened and the ones with the hand signs taken offline and redone.

After finishing the first chapter, I get why it's so popular. It brings the feeling of Gurlz Und Panzer with fun character interactions without veerying into degeneracy, while also not being too much edgy/soft to make the player not care.
Play both parts of Volume 2 to get why Aris is best daughter. But it is important you play both of them!
