He always finds his way to the party from some unknown location away from Kris and Susie.

This is precisely why I don't buy the horns headband theory. Sure, you can say it's in Kris' ball of junk, but I just don't see it given Lancer and Rouxls being individual inventory items while one of the main protags is miscellaneous junk.

I think Ralsei is perhaps a manifestation of a memory of Asriel, hence why he's present in every dark world and doesn't turn to stone, he can be anywhere Kris is without needing to be a physical item. Eventually as part of the final tragedy the heroes will have to seal the last dark fountain - Castle Town, which would explain why Ralsei didn't care enough to personalise his room. He knows the prophecy (by virtue of being part of Kris, who's in cahoots with the Knight, therefore knowing the prophecy), why bother exploring your tastes and likes if you're just gonna eventually vanish?

If Ralsei was just another item darkner, how come he seems to be the only one who knows what happens in the prophecy (barring Gerson)?

King was misguided. Queen was straight up flabbergasted when Ralsei explained the roaring. And Tenna just wanted to hang out again and did stuff on Kris' request.

Also the Ralsei horns theory is actually quite popular. It's more or less accepted as canon for the time being.
Aw man, I thought I was being unique with the theory, this fandom always go one step ahead of me.
Susie's interactions with Gerson were something out of a Saturday morning cartoon. A rebellious teen is supposed to be rude to old men, not get advice from them and accept it.
I have to disagree with you on that. The dynamic between Gerson and Susie was one of the highlights of Chapter 4, and yeah, Susie was like that to Gerson in the beginning, but the development of hers took a huge leap in that chapter as well, Gerson had the patience to reach into her and that is why she felt more comfortable talking to him afterwards, he gave her the confidence in her abilities, this time being the healing magic and she got better because of it. She even says the reason why she grew to like him, because he was the only teacher who didn't make her feel stupid while teaching him, that to me is a huge compliment coming from a rebellious teenager like her.

Even then, Susie got to grow more and more as a character ever since chapter 1, she is more open to people and is willing to listen to develop herself as a Hero, that is why she easily grow to like the old man and is now carrying his legacy by getting the Justice Axe.

Toby's writing for Susie is NOT perfect, since he made her say very stupid stuff. But he hit the nail in the head on writing Susie's development in Chapter 4.

Ralsei just can't be an item Kris carries around. If he was, it wouldn't have taken him so long to step in in the second sanctuary, especially since he wants to hide the prophecy from Kris and Suzie. Whatever Ralsei is, he needs to be something that explains how he's allowed to operate in all dark worlds, and that it takes him actual time to get from one dark world to the next.

I think Ralsei may be an actual living being, but he only has a comprehensive and usable form in dark worlds. It'd explain why he can just freely fuck off to other dark worlds. If he needed to walk back to the school to re-enter that dark world to find out Susie made second sanctuary, it might also explain why it took so long for him to appear despite first and second sanctuary being in the exact same location.

Maybe it's some kind of metaphysical thing, like a childhood memory of Asriel? He comes to Kris like when you recall a memory: popping in sooner or later.

It'd be silly if Asriel was a just a mysterious lightner that nobody heard of or acknowledged yet, running laps around the school and other dark world places. Though to be fair, nobody ever acknowledged that there's been someone coming in and out of the bunker until Susie and Kris fought against the Knight.

I have an irrational hatred towards sans due to that.
Toby better make a scene where Rudy, Susie and Kris kick his ass.

In all honesty, SAME. The damn meme skeleton was everywhere, and it got frustrating seeing "remixes" of Megalovania put in every part of YouTube. Not to mention how everyone viewed him as "sexy" or this super-edgy hidden badass, etc.

I didn't care for people finding him sexy but the edgy badass thing annoyed me to no end, felt like everyone misunderstood his character. As for stuff within the game itself: the meta awareness of Sans got tiring after a while but maybe am Just misremembering.

My theory is that Ralsei IS the headband and Kris lost it inside the bunker some time ago. Him being a special Darkner who doesn't turn to stone and can freely travel between dark worlds is due to some special property from the bunker.

I mean he is also the prince from the prophecy, he could just have special abilities exclusive to him for the sake of fulfilling his destiny like Kris does as the cage for the angel.

The amount of people insisting that he was "screaming in rage" during his boss fight was just... what? The guy's a lazy skeleton who's entire thing is being an annoying meme guy, where the hell did this come from? Fanbases are weird...

Don't you get it? He's so "quirky" for it... yeah, I can't even come up with a funny/sarcastic answer for this, Sans just isn't funny.

I always liked the theory that Papyrus was significantly stronger than he was letting on, with him being the only monster that has enough control over his abilities to never kill you (something even Toriel can do accidentally) and characters like Undyne consistently calling him strong. The only thing stopping him from being head of the royal guard is the fact he's a goofy, nice guy.

Sans being some bottled up secret edgelord though? That shit it just gay, I dunno WHAT that's based on.

Same issue with Deltarune, honestly; I kinda want to really deep dive back on in, but...
Why would you ever let what maggots on the internet do stop you from enjoying something you want to enjoy? People who you don't like drink water too, gonna switch?

The other compelling theory I heard was that Ralsei is actually Kris' knife, which explains why he is always around since he always has it on him, and is rare as an object USED to create a Dark World, thus maybe meaning he has done so before and thus has special insight into how they work?

He's depressed. That's all they need.

My schizotheory is that Ralsei is Kris' shirt, and also that Kris' shirt used to be Asriel's and Asriel gave to it Kris before going to college.

This would allow Ralsei to go anywhere (Kris always wears the same shirt), explains why he can be in multiple Dark Worlds without turning to stone, and also explains why he looks like Asriel.

I should play through Undertale again and actually call Papyrus in every room.

Speaking of which, there’s a mod for the PC version called XBOXtale that adds all the console-exclusive content. Assuming it keeps the PC-specific quirks like having Flowey crash the game, it seems like the definitive way to play Undertale.
