Diseased Open Source Software Community - it's about ethics in Code of Conducts

OK, does anyone here know what schizo's babbling about?
He's been posting this about 1000x per day on /g/ and evading bans there to do it. I wonder if it's Jeremy himself.
Richard Matthew Stallman
Jeffery Epstine
Jeremy Bicha of Gnome
President Biden
Miritcia Kitsune
or (allegedly) Trump.
Don't forget to add yourself to that list. Pink triangle soon.

Holy shit Mikee, I will have you fucking banned or locked in some sort of containment thread if you shit up this thread with your schizo spam like you do on /g/.
model_brush.c is right there waiting for you. (it beckons and desires your input: what map model format do you want?)

There is nothing schizo about my spam. I am simply asking for contributors, since I have done various features myself over the years. Used to be very easy. Now it's impossible. Where did all the people go?
(I remeber it took just days to get more opensource code etc contributors back in 1999-2003, it was easy and everyone was raring to go)

You hid that in a spoiler while having spam be front and center. This is not even trolling it's just spam.

I don't have to be invited to hack on my own opensource project.
Pink triangles were for gays.
Not loli lovers. Europeans never had a problem with that.

No I didn't, someone else reformatted my 4 posts.
Which were ment to commemorate my 4 threads I'm owed.

Linux used to be good... It was all about "show me the code" "thank you for contributing code" "everyone is welcome" "freedom of speech"
And we had cool things like grsecurity.

What happened?
And how did 20 years just evaporate? 2003 was like yesterday.
WTF happened?
Anyone know?

The "trans" movement, and corporate overlords embracing, extending...

Plus a general competency crisis, lack of low level coding knowledge (Javascript niggers), and now AI "vibe coding".

And to anybody coming here who are confused by this niggery, (for ex @Ed Special) feel free to read the very educational material on this negro and his friendo.

@Trombonista
Can you please deport him back to his containment thread so he stops shitting up the place?

I sure love discussing FOSS in my FOSS thread!
What did you expect? This thread is diseased for a reason!

I don't think the trans movement had a general impact on it. The impact it brought about is more linked to the competency crisis we're facing. It's a job that requires almost no physical ability, can be done behind a keyboard, and often can be done remotely. Coupled with the use of low-skill immigrants (mainly H1B) leads us to where we are currently with regards to skilling.

Corporatism is the bigger issue. Remember Linux before Red Hat became the giant it is now, before cloud computing was a thing? I cut my teeth on Slackware almost 30 years ago. I've interviewed dozens of Linux sysadmins and when I ask them basic questions like "what's an inode" or "what should a umask be set to" I get partial answers, sometimes about things completely wrong or unrelated. Now that everyone wants to push everything to the cloud, to containers, to something as-a-Service or as-Code and have a vendor maintain it (and be their bitch and at their whims), we're entering territory where new solutions have to be invented for someone to gain relevance, solutions in search of extremely niche problems.

I do think we're one major outage away from a reversing trend of that, though. People are already starting to get fatigued of having to download an app, create an account, sign up for a list to make products work.

A friend of mine likes to subtly brag that he runs Arch on one machine as a daily driver and Gentoo on another and that everyone else are windoze babies. Yes, he has no life.

While I have a semblance of life, I like to mess with people back. I know its not technically FOSS, but would daily driving freebsd be enough for me to dunk on him instead?

Yes, I am that petty.

Maybe needing to lie about using FreeBSD to dunk on someone with ~no life~ is more like dunking on yourself.
