Think about it. Assume it's a mortgage of $2500 a month without a variable interest rate to potentially fuck him later. If he can make that $2500 back in rent, the house is paying for itself now. Without an adjustable interest rate, he can increase that rent over time turning the additional income into profit. 10 years down the road if he's increased rent at 7% plus inflation capped at 10%(that's apparently the law in his state) so lets assume 10 while retaining the same tenants that's now 6477 in rent. Even if he only increases it 5% per year that's still 4126 a month, which is more than enough to pay the mortgage and cover any general maintenance costs that come up.

At that point his current income from streaming isn't paying for the original house, and now his original house can be covering part of the cost of his new one. This is of course also not considering a possible increase in property value for the original house over time at which point he can sell it and pocket even more money after paying off the original mortgage. This is also of course being the most straightforward about it, and not bothering to leverage equity on one property for another which is something else he can do.

Now is Mald actually considering any of this? Fuck if I know, but simply not selling the previous home while buying another isn't an incorrect move by default.

You're right, the real issues with Mald are paying more people than he needs and trying to put $1,000,000 down on a building to house 250+ ferrets. The gravy train is slowing down and 250+ ferrets won't be cheap on top of that.

Yeah, owning multiple properties is a massive non issue, and perfectly sensible. The problem is what he does with them that might turn out to be completely fucking retarded. There's probably some kind of tax shenanigans if providing employee housing, regarding benefits and payroll taxes or something but I wouldn't have any idea how that would actually work out. Using it as a ferret hoarding house without it being a proper rescue would be moronic and possibly even a municipal zoning issue.

The thing is though, even if he's not using the first home as a revenue source, unless the market completely tanks(and lets face it, it takes a lot for a market in an area over time to go so badly that a property doesn't increase in value, we're talking like EPA superfund sites and shit) or he got a retarded mortgage, it's still worth money. Kiwis should be at least capable of understanding something as simple as that.

Just when you think Mald couldn't be more of a faggot, turns out he threw a tantrum because Matpat streamed his game and joked about it. Mald gets offended, and tries to claim that Matpat was exploiting his work, rather than just take the free exposure for what it was. Yes Matpat fucked up and didn't link to the game in the description of the vod for his stream, but that's such a minor fucking nitpick as if people couldn't google the shit. Apparently this crap happened 6 fucking years ago, but it's just more of the pattern of Mald being a narcissistic piece of shit for his entire career.

edit: Since apparently it's not obvious to some people. The OP for this thread about Mald mentions Matpat but doesn't actually cover Mald's faggotry about the incident.

Happened to see he was streaming the other day when he refused to feed the cat and checked out the ban log for a bit. Seemed to be banning at a rate of 1 user per minute. My favorite was the one banned within seconds for saying "milk chalice", a reference to yandev banning any users mentioning his cum chalice. Many users are banned without ever typing in chat too, not sure what that's about.
