One Piece - I'm Gonna Be the Pirate King!

Is it possible that the One Piece could be a living creature instead of a giant treasure?
well the one piece is just what people call the treasure roger claims he left on the laugh tale. so it has the potential to be anything. there could very well be a chance that its actually one piece of gold or something silly like that. i really think the whole idea of the one piece is just a trick by roger to get people to explore more and piss off imu and the world government. the treasure itself is most likely non existent.

the idea of it being something living is interesting though. maybe its something similar to emeth and zunesha where only the right person can hear them and in response they come back to life or something?

We

should know soon though after all we're on the final saga according to Oda. After Elbaf its Laugh Tale and then Final War.
We will also have to see Lodestar Island too in some form. It has been hyped for years as the last island one could visit without the Poneglyphs. Maybe through Law or another such character?

Lodestar Island?
Crocus explains at Reverse Mountain that all paths of the Grand Line converge on one island: Lodestar. Inuarashi clarifies on Zunesha that, on a normal voyage, Lodestar is where you would be expected to discover what the Road Poneglyphs were and is where Roger makes the decision to take his 20 year adventure to find (the as yet unnamed) Laughtale.

I’m pretty sure I posted the interview here where Oda said that the treasure was some physical, tangible thing that’d show why the destination is more important than the journey, at least in the context of how the treasure isn’t “the friends we made along the way”.

The issue is that it has to be something extremely profound where Roger will go “no, I’m too early” since he has some kind of dream that can only be achieved as pirate king, and Whitebeard will mention how the government is afraid because “when someone finds it, and they will, everything will change…”, while also being something that can make a hardened badass like Roger and his crew just laugh themselves until they’re crying and Roger just goes “Oh Joy Boy , I wish I could meet you. What a funny story.”, especially considering that Luffy in Gear 5 is Joy Boy 2.0 with Gear 5 being rooted in freedom and laughter and happiness instead of the traditional shonen path of righteous fury about to take out anger on some force of evil.

That’s the balance that has to be struck, especially since Luffy doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to realize the gravitas of the treasure he’s found , that he’s the one Roger is waiting for, that he’s the one where Whitebeard says that it will be found by somebody carrying the weight of history challenging the world to a fight. To Luffy, it’ll be the same treasure as we thought it was in chapter 1, as did all of Japan in the summer of 1997: something to be found by some kid wearing a hat at the end of all his grand adventures.

Would that be what Oda wants you to think? The whole thing of the endgame is how Luffy will play factor into fulfilling the prophecies that have been talked about since the timeskip, like Joy Boy’s promise to Fishman Island. Or how his Gear 5 powers will lead to showing why exactly Whitebeard said the government would fear what was coming.

I am still of the opinion that it is multiple things.

You have a giant pile of treasure (because Luffy deserves a giant pile of GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD)
You have the history of the world that Roger was laughing at
And you have Whatever it is that will flip the world on it's head.

It’s going to be a full page spread of a massive pile of just stuff, with maybe another page of Straw Hats finding individual items that appeal to each of them, finishing with Robin finding a Poneglyph that outlines what Roger was too early for.

blackbeard being big moms true first child would sure be something. it would also make me wonder if he got whitebeards fruit the same way big mom got mother caramels.
Dunno what it is, but I'm mildly fixated on how Big Mom has so many kids, yet none of the over forty fathers are anyone prominent. I remember the theories that Katakuri (and Daifuku and Oven I guess) was a result of her getting with Kaido, explaining how freakishly strong he is compared to all his other siblings.

Katakuri is fishman.

Now I'm wondering if Katakuri, Daifuku, and Oven all have different dads. Superfecundation is rare but possible, and it would probably be more likely with Big Mom's Devil Fruit power.
The Wiki says they are triplets..but Oven and Daifuku don't have any fishmen traits and Katakuri's mouth is specifically defined as "Pelican Eel like" which is typically a descriptor for Fishmen/Part Fishmen, Like every major Fishman has had a specific type of Real World Fish as a descriptor haven't they?

Arlong is a Sawnose, Jimbe is a Whale Shark...Even Jack's got specified if I remember right and him being a Fishman mattered like..once.

there are the rare fishmen that come out looking way more human than others. perhaps oven and daifuku are both just lucky enough to have barely any fishman traits.
