Nintendo Switch 2 - For the Soytendo consoomers to speculate about the successor to the Switch, recently announced for 2025.

Again we’re sperging over stupid shit, Nintendo just wants to say they’re only friends because the less we have to see of Mario porn the better. Wish they’d make Bowser a monster again who just wants to conquer so we can discourage this furfag bullshit.
I put it at the same category of inserting propaganda into media. Yeah as a single case basis it looks silly, but with the decade long push of feminism and anti-heterosexuality and anti-gender norms, it's yet another capitulation so journos could talk about how "saving the princess does not entitle you to think she owes you anything".

It's just so tiring.

I’m struggling to see why I should validate a worthless statement from a random spokesman or the report of some dumb blogger. Did Miyamoto declare this to be game canon? I bet he didn’t or else this would have caused actual nerd bickering.

Don’t make me start acting like a lolcow and start arguing the Bing Bong Wahoo games are serious works of art. We’ve all played the games. We all know what they mean. Peach doesn’t invite Mario in 64 for cake because they’re mere friends.

Nintendo has been moving towards DEI for years now, so it would be naive to think this came out of the left field.

I know a dude that bought the Switch 2 because he is a DK fan, he said the game is really good.
He is waiting for the new Mario now.
Im from a third world country and the Switch 2 sold out here.

Differently colored N64 carts actually cost more, didn't they? And then the gold and silver glitter ones actually cost even more. Anyways, I think that differently colored boxes look ugly in a collection, so I am glad Nintendo isn't doing them.
I looked it up, only gold and silver had an extra cost. Gold was used on Zelda and half of the Pokemon Stadium 2 cart while silver was only used in Stadium 2. Notably, for you autists out there, a number of offered colors never had any games released in them.

Wow, lot of Mario sperging in here this past day huh…

I want to clear up some things about Odyssey as I think you guys are being way too harsh.
to be fair, i always thought it was weird how at the end of that game she treats the guy who saved her with the same disdain she has for the lizard monster who tried to force her to marry him.
She really doesn’t. Her and Mario were having a nice moment till Bowser butted in, and the end has her call out to get Mario (and Bowser) on the ship.

The only “mean” thing she does is tell the two boys off when they are clearly overwhelming her by shoving flowers in her face. I don’t think that was an unreasonable reaction given both were acting poorly, Mario shouldn’t be in a competition to win Peach against Bowser by that point.

Also, here is an image taken right before the fight, she clearly interested…

As for why she doesn’t tell off Bowser, personally, I think it is a mix of just her being nice to everyone, and that no one in the cast really hates Bowser. Bowser hangs out with these people for sports, go-karting, etc.. This ending even implies that Mario just sees him as a basic rival. Bowser has had far too many partnerships and moments of the cast saving him (and vice-versa) to fully write him off as just an evil beast.

For evidence, the cast invites Bowser directly to hang out in Super Sluggers, even after him being a bitch

She does this after rejecting Mario, saying some vaguely feminist shit about going off to travel the world herself, "on her own terms". It was a precursor to girlboss movie Peach.
She was brought to a ton of worlds yet kept in a ship the entire time as Bowser dragged her along. Her wanting to see what she missed out on isn’t a surprise, and is more-or-less just there to add another interaction for Mario in the post-game.

She did call out to him at the end of Odyssey. When you meet her and she says this, it is post-game where we can assume Mario & Cappy are still on their own adventure. She is simply having her own in parallel and is still nice to Mario whenever their paths cross. She even calls out to you when you get close…

Also, before the “feminist” line, she tells Mario she is glad to see him still traveling.

>full list of every colored N64 cart and what possible colors were available to use
This is the type of autism I enjoy.
>no one used pink
Missed opportunity for Kirby 64.

I watched 2-3 hours of a Twitch guy playing DK Bananza and honestly it just feels like there is something off about it. It's not offensively designed like MKW is, but it feels too... Disneyified. Pauline is like Dora the Explorer and millenial writing glopped together into one mega-annoying child. All the animations has that touch of over-exaggeration that honestly makes it feel more ungrounded than anything. (Yes, I know we're playing an ape in a crazy magic world, but it didn't have to be that caricature-ish).

And of course, the nostalgia baiting. There is no company that blatantly repackages nostalgia for profit more than Nintendo. I saw the DKC callback level that plays Stickerbrush Symphony and obviously the guy and chat both are like "OMG REFERENCE REFERENCE THIS GAME IS PEAK!!!111!!1" like the brain-rotted Nintendo consumers they are. The music hotel things (I forget what they're called. Getaways? don't remember) Of course they play that other DKC song that I only remember because Jirard and The Completionist had it as his transition tune.

It's not a bad game, I can see why people would have lots of fun with it, but just the way they package it all... I feel like I'm being talked down to in some way. Like I'm seven years old. Mario Odyssey wasn't as bad as this, it had long meaty sections like Darker Side and etc that were more interesting, and Cappy wasn't as much of a bother. Nintendo is said to be the company for children but honestly, I think they're angling straight for the manchildren with how they've recently been going. DK Bonanza feels like a game for people that are ten years old both in body and in mind. And boy, are there a lot of nerds who are ten-year-olds in the mind for whatever the big N puts out. I'm only 24 but holy shit I feel like I'm 45-50 compared to the average person in the Nintendo fandom.

You do know that you're being autistic over what was originally an shitpost, right?
I guess…

We talked about this way earlier in the thread, but agree.

Personally, I think they are pushing for a more Disney-fied look as the Illumination DK movie will be based on Bananza.

The Dinseyification of Nintendo has already happened a long time ago, there's nothing you can do to stop it. Just realize this is the direction corporations believe that children want and since DK Bananza is such a massive fucking hit with people saying it's the greatest game ever made and the success of the Mario movie means we will be getting much more of this style in Nintendo games.

I was never going to play these games anyway because I'm not 8 years old but I do feel bad that kids in this era are treated like retards. I feel bad for kids these days who don't get things like the og DK Country and are conditioned to only like the most corporate slop (yes I said the thing).

Nintendo has been catering to the man child demographic for a long time now. Speaking of man children, I watched Uncle Al steam dk bananza, and his reaction to k rool was just as bad, if not worse than the guy that cried over star wars, he had a full blown autistic freakout over it, it was embarrassing
