I was going to say that this doesn't sound terrible by Anisa's standards, but then I noticed that she calls for canned beans. Canned beans. It doesn't matter what you put into that salad, it's going to taste of salt, tin, depression, and poor life choices. Is it that hard to just soak some beans overnight in the fridge and boil them? Also, feeding Poo Pants Swastika Boy beans? I hope the Jomhas have a few gas masks to go around!

They that bad in canada? I often use canned legumes, like chick peas and kidney beans, in dishes and it's fine. Granted, not in cold dishes. Ours are also not pre-salted.

My mediterranean friends would have a heart attack if i showed them this, just from the canned beans alone. This is like a fart bomb in a salad, actual mediterranean recipes are much simpler. They rely on shit ton of olive oil, feta and fresh vegetables, that's it. No one's putting dijon mustard in their salad.

Also, the combination of all those ingredients "being safe" to stay in the fridge for 3 days is a joke. Just cucumber alone goes all watery and mushy.

I get Anisa's trying to play into her 8% lebanese heritage, but she doesn't actually get their culture. Salad is meant to be fresh, just made and eaten all at once for dinner with your family. Not to let it become a gooey mess with the cucumbers, feta and whatever random shit she added.

Couldn't help it, contacted some of them. They all called this American bullshit (couldn't bother to explain Anisa is Canadian or who Anisa is at all).

The type of mediterranean salad Anisa was trying to recreate but failed (because it would just contant cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, feta, olive oil or whatever regional veggies they have depending on their country) is meant to be eaten before actual dinner, accompanied by hard liquor most of the time (even by muslims, because mediterannean muslims don't give a fuck). It's not a meal and god forbid, having it for lunch the next day by letting it stay in the fridge for even a night because from just the veggies and olive oil, it would become a watery mess.

The beans and dijon mustard were especially offensive as i suspected. Beans are made separately with tomato sauce most often, a part of the main or side meal and most would make hummus instead of beans.

So not only did Anisa fail at larping as a lebanese, she also didn't make a healthy salad, she made something to get you extremely bloated and gassy and by the 3rd day this shit's been in the fridge and someone dares eat it.. Maureen better have more than one toilet in her house and Ian better start praying to the ibs gods for mercy.

Why is she trying to make decent food? She's not capable of producing anything worthwhile, and it's not like she tries to put on the appearance of being fancy, high class, intelligent, or even moderately respectable. She looks like trailer trash, has the IQ of trailer trash, and frequently leans into the stereotype of trailer trash. She might as well cook like trailer trash too. She'd probably be happier, because although trailer trash food is usually total garbage, it usually tastes really good.

Make some casseroles, Anisa. Teach us "cool food hacks" about mixing various canned slop and turning it into a warm, delicious family dinner. Making actual, good food isn't for you and never will be.
