Yeah a frightening majority of the fanbase are kids which honestly explains all of the praise because kids just flat out don't understand how dogshit the writing actually is.
Also there's a lot of russian kids into it too for some reason, like I keep encountering russians in discussions about the show frequently enough to mention.
because Doll.

because Doll.
That's all it takes? Wow.
It's also funny that there's literally no reason for her to exclusively speak Russian she just does because quirky!
Again like J that aspect of her character was probably a leftover from when the show was supposed to be comedy focused. But I guess Liam didn't want to remove her character quirk even if it makes no fucking sense. Just like how J continuing to exist past the pilot makes no sense.

Damn I didn't know russians were that easy to win over.

Yes, Murder Drones has child fans, I've seen them on TikTok, DeviantArt and Pinterest too, but that doesn't make Murder Drones appealing to children, or else it would have had things like bootleg live shows or themed birthday parties like Digital Circus had, and preschoolers would be watching the episodes religiously over and over again.

You'll never see people in N or Uzi mascot suits hugging children like they're Barney the dinosaur.

I've also seen adults praise Murder Drones unironically, simply because it was made by Glitch Productions. Keep in mind that Glitch is sacred in the animation community, and everything they create is a masterpiece, and since Murder Drones is their creation, that automatically makes it an incredibly good series. Basically, Murder Drones uses the fact that is a Glitch Production as a crutch for prevent any criticism. Modern SMG4 also has this crutch, but to a lesser extent, since its main crutch is that the fandom is madly in love with certain characters, which is enough to forgive Modern SMG4's atrocious writing, Female fans get wet easily by Jingling Keys: The Character (a.k.a. Mr. Puzzles), while male fans are obsessed with Meggy, Saiko, Tari and Melony because they make their pp rock hard.

Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss also have child fans. There have been cases of children attending convention panels and asking voice actors questions. It got to the point where Vivziepop noticed and even had to address it:

Yes, I've noticed that given the number of Russian comments on Pinterest. Skibidi Toilet is also very popular in Russia, and judging by Pinterest, at least a portion of the Murder Drones fandom gets along well with the Skibidi Toilet fandom, which has led to crossover fan art. Many of the comments on these posts are in Russian.

Good on Vivs for at least being openly against kids being involved with shit like this.

I swear the only reason TADC manages to get to so many really young children is literally just because it looks kiddy enough on the outside that parents glance at it on their ipad, go "oh how sweet" then assume it's like cocomellon or something without bothering to check further.

I feel as though this is a consistent issue with adult animation in general. I recall a pre-teen attending a Rick & Morty panel at Comic-Con, where Justin Roiland called him out in his Morty voice. Hosts should be banning young children from these events, and it is a massive concern how accessible this content is to minors under 14.

It's funny that Gooseworx hates the fact that Digital Circus is very popular with kids, even going as far as saying that it they had a chance of making another cartoon after Digital Circus, it would be a lot more adult from the very beginning.

One of the biggest reasons why so many people prefer this show over Hazbin Hotel is because it doesn't overly rely on guns, sex, fictional politics, and violence. What the hell is Lucy Goosey on about?

Happens to a lot of adult shows. I watched South Park behind my mom's back in middle school.

I have noticed this phenomenon too. The Hearts of Iron IV modding community has a sizeable amount of Russians, and the amount of them having MD profile pictures or posting MD-related media on Discord (I only use it for getting my mod-related news) is noticeable. In a mod with 500,000 subscribers on the Steam Workshop, the Russian devs have straight-up put MD references as easter egg into the game.

easter_egg1.pngeaster_egg2.pngV.png

I also believe it's not just Russians, but people all over from the former Soviet Union. I remember seeing an MD fanart that had text that was written in Karakalpak, a minority language in Uzbekistan with less than a million speakers (I am autistic enough to recognize obscure Turkic languages). It's a shame I didn't save it, not because it was that good, but because of the novelty of having text written in such a rare non-Western language.

I even stumbled upon a Georgian (ქართველი) man making an MD-themed HOI4 mod (and it already has 2,500 subscribers).

md autism in hoi4.png

And funnily enough, it's not the only MD-themed mod that is being worked on.

Other GLITCH-related stuff is pretty much nonexistent in the HOI4 community. At least you don't have to worry about underage TADC fans learning about Oskar Dirlewanger.

On the other hand, I found a teaser for a Vivziepop-led Central America.

lmao.webp

now I'm wondering if there's lucha of them, like Homero y Lisa Simpson, or Shrek y Donkey or any of the thirty nine sets of Tortugas Ninjas
It's always either Latin Americans (and never Iberians) or Southeast Asians who are doing stuff like this. They are like parasites to Western culture; they never innovate, just take and ruin our stuff.

At least South Asian countries like India and Pakistan can produce enough media for themselves that you don't see them that often compared to Latinxs and SEAmonkeys despite GLITCH shows having both Hindi and Urdu dubs (yes, you can watch Pomni speaking like a Pajeeta in two different ways).

I swear the only reason TADC manages to get to so many really young children is literally just because it looks kiddy enough on the outside that parents glance at it on their ipad, go "oh how sweet" then assume it's like cocomellon or something without bothering to check further.
Theoretically, what could one do to prevent cartoons like TADC or HH/HB from becoming popular with children? There must be one to filter them without changing the quirkiness and the art style. Maybe one could put in some jargon that only adults can understand; that could work, I believe.

That's basically an impossible goal, children like cartoony artstyles and animations with a more human-like art design attracts adult viewers, its just an inherent part of the human psychology no matter how much "adult" content you add into it.

HH/HB is more for teenagers, maybe there are kiddos as well but its fandom seems to be dominated by women age 14-24, TADCs viewerbase is heavily segregated between gen alpha kids who got attracted to the bright colors and cartoony designs and just watch it without even fully comprehending whats going on, and the teenage/young adult audience that actually discusses things and creates fan content.

Sorry to interrupt the deep discussion with regards to children and their interaction in fandom spaces but I'm here to bring you the good news that Jax is in fact NOT a faggot.

I never even understood that. How can someone be a He/They or a She/They? What the fuck does that even mean? God forbid everyone in the series can just be allowed to have a normal gender like 99% of the world's population.

An arbitrary rainbowfaggot pronoun drop by a tranny does not prove anyone isn't a faggot. It could still be a heckin' ENBY frog. In fact, this may expand the faggotry in addition to Zooble being the self-insert tranny-allegory.

Somewhat related: It was kind of heartbreaking finding out Gooseworx trooned out. I genuinely liked his animation before he did, including Runmo and Double King, and he's clearly not a bad animator. Not quite the Newgrounds generation, but not bad either. Gooseworx has always had that "storyboarder artstyle", which is simple, quick, expressive. Great for conveying the emotional tone of a scene at speed. Good fit for TADC, even if it largely isn't as expressive in 3D. I don't know if he's somehow being wrangled by GLiTCH or if he's the extremely rare (read: doesn't exist) tranny that can exhibit self-restraint, but I doubt that. Yes, I call two separate characters vocally asking for the ability to have sex "self-restraint". It really is low bar for a tranny. In fact, the whole show could be viewed as a visual form of grooming, of attracting younger audiences with its simplistic, expressive and cartoony art style but peppering in a whole variety of "excusable" sexual deviancy, including but not limited to Gooseworx' crossdressing maid fetish, obligatory vore, references to sex, and so on. "Teehee it's not a show for kids!!" is just an excuse, plausible deniability. Pronoun shit is already on the table with Zooble, I wouldn't be surprised if it got even worse with the frog.

I bet Jax's inexcusable evil was that he drove the frog to suicide, probably even unintentionally, to continue the trend of "subtle" tranny allegory.

I think Gooseworx is just trolling here, why would he not mention that until now when the first on-screen connection with Jax was revealed back in episode 5?, why did he let the fandom assume Ribbit was a guy for months without saying anything, you'd think he'd be the first one to try correcting the gender and all that.

Screencap this, Ribbit is a man (and possibly his gay lover) in episode 7.

I've seen so many people, so many people, who have no idea that Gooseworx is trans and assume that Gooseworx was always a woman. And I'm not just talking about the internet, I had a casual conversation in real life and the person I was talking to assumed the same thing. Considering that there's Vivziepop, who is another big indie creator AND a biological woman, and the fact that Gooseworx rarely shows their face and doesn't make public appearances unlike Vivziepop, that helps a little. Casual viewers simply assume that Gooseworx is just a smarter version of Vivziepop.

Gooseworx' crossdressing maid fetish,

Not just crossdressing maid fetish, but crossdressing in general. Gooseworx always had a thing for crossdressing.

Friendly reminder: Gooseworx LOVES to lie. These are screenshots from TV Tropes' Digital Circus page that prove it.

I think Gooseworx trooned out in early 2015.
I think it was in 2021, although Gooseworx had already shown signs of wanting to do it years before.
