The Amazing Digital Circus - Western Isekai that probably will become Hazbin Hotel killer

Somewhat related: It was kind of heartbreaking finding out Gooseworx trooned out. I genuinely liked his animation before he did, including Runmo and Double King, and he's clearly not a bad animator.
Just here to point out that Gooseworx did not make Double King. That was Felix Colgrave, an extremely talented multi media animator who, as far as I’m aware, has not trooned out.

Runmo, Darly Boxman and Elain Gets Adopted were Gooseworx and Gooseworx was already trooned out by the time they came out.

I’m just going to dump my exact thoughts on this show.
I know this is unpopular in this thread but I really like it, good animation, good characters, good story, it makes me laugh. Not the best show ever but it’s fine imo. I know a lot of people hate Zooble but honestly I sorta forget she exists when the more interesting characters come, like Jax or Ragatha. I do think Jax is a dick, but less so an evil mastermind and more so someone who doesn’t get (or considering that episode, dosent care) that not everyone else is so disconnected from their digital bodies that they can see it as just dying in a video game.

I like the trauma dump shit, cause it gives me more info on the characters. Some of it is forced but it’s usually quick so whatever.

I disagree with the notion that the egg mention, the sex joke, and the maid dress are fetishmining.

I’m interested to see what Jax’s relationship with Ribbit was, I know a lot of people are anxious that they’ll fuck it up, but my personal perspective is “Well the show’s been good so far, I don’t know why this would be the part where it falls.”

I also know a lot of people are anxious watching the show due to Goose being trans, I won’t comment on that, but I’ll say that I haven’t shared that anxiety.

If I had to choose a least favorite character, it’d be Gangle. She’s not bad, I just don’t care about half of her conflicts, and I really don’t like them repeatedly pairing her up with Gangle. It gets too mushy gushy.

Favorite episode is probably the latest one, I love Jax’s whole “you are my playthings” speech and I loved seeing him and Pomni team up, it was really fun. Only thing I disliked was that boring moment with Gangle and Zooble (Honestly maybe there were too many moments in that episode) and how messy the break up between Pomni and Jax was. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy it happened, but it felt like it was written on the spot almost. Going back and forth between beating eachother up and arguing. Idk, it felt weird. But again, I like where it ended. I didn’t mind Jax’s panic attack at all. Like I said, ultimately my read of him is that he’s someone who copes by treating the circus as fake as possible, the problem is literally no one else shares that view so they feel genuinely hurt when he fucks with them. Is that a situation where his viewpoint has to change? Theirs? We’ll see.

Can you name me one good indie animation in the last 5 years?

The bar is THAT low my dude!

People should stop saying "Indie Animation is saving animation" and say what's really happening: Glitch Productions is carrying the entire "Indie Renaissance". This is something I said on the Glitch thread:

When people say "Indie Animation is beating Corpos', "Indie Animation is the only way now" or "Long Live Indie Animation", they're really only referring to Glitch, and there's a good reason: compared to other Indie Animation studios, they're practically the only ones to have achieved this status. The creator of Lackadaisy knew this, and that's why he allowed Glitch to buy his show; otherwise, it would have faded into obscurity.

Seriously, look at everything else we have: Lackadaisy is theirs now, so it doesn't count anymore. Vivziepop is reaching lolcow status as many people are losing respect for her due to the terrible decisions she makes on her shows (and because, in general, she's a terrible person), to the point that the Homestuck pilot received mixed to negative reviews, even though she had no involvement in the production beyond financing it. Everything else has cult following or is straight up obscure: There's Monkey Wrench, which I keep forgeting; it's mentioned often, but it seems like nobody really cares outside of its small group of fans. I bet the creator would like to pull a Lackadaisy and let Glitch buy his series too. I mean, just look at this:
There's Space King, which I haven't seen yet, but I've heard good things about it. However, it's not very popular; the mainstream isn't interested. Everything else is hit or miss; many pilots come and go every month, most fail and fade into obscurity. Some get short-lived fanbases like that Pretty Please I Don't Want to be a Magical Girl thing. I remember that the main character received a lot of fanart earlier this year, especially crossover fan art where she appears alongside Pomni and the Murder Drones characters, but after a month, everyone forgot about it. And then there is the black sheep of the Indie Renaissance: Skibidi Toilet. Seriously, Skibidi Toilet has grown and changed a lot; it has surprisingly good cinematography and animation, and now, DaFuq!?boom! is expanding the brand. He posted this on his Community tab a few days ago: unnamed.png It's a real shame that Skibidi Toilet is still known in the mainstream as that stupid old meme of the SFM toilets (One thing I should mention is that they stopped animating in SFM and now animate in Unreal Engine, although they still use the SFM assets), completely unaware that it has lore or even a plot. And, to be honest, Skibidi Toilet made the transition from funny to serious much better than SMG4. In fact, I dare to say that Skibidi Toilet takes itself much more seriously than stuff like Murder Drones.

The Skibidi Toilet part has aged a bit, as the fandom is very concerned about the show's future because DaFuq!?boom! is a little less involved now, and many fans and even some collaborators fear that Invisible Narratives will make the Skibidi Toilet IP corporate, starting by deleting everything from the DaFuq!?boom! Instagram page. And now, the fandom is sharing the hashtag #BringBoomBack.

Though it seems that this only applies to TV shows, because kids movies can still show guns. The 2020 Looney Tunes Cartoons show was forbidden to have guns, but Space Jam 2, released a year later, did had guns and was marketed as a kids movie.
Muppets Most Wanted also had a gun. (Iirc it was to threaten/intimidate a character.)

It's very ironic indie artists hate AI despite it being one of the tools they could use to make episodes in a sensible timeframe. Though you can argue that since those artists live off paypigs, creating content is secondary.

Going back to the theories behind the setting, is that I wonder if the issue of there being possible time differences between the digital realm and the real one will ever come up in the show.

I mean, how does anybody know that what feels like a "year" inside the digital circus is not the equivalent of a tenth of a second in the real world?

TADC is one of the worst shows made by Glitch Productions, it's overrated, shit and of course the animation sucked so hard, some people and the UTTP (aka UrineTube Troll Pee) were harassing fans, some people would make gooning versions of that stupid show, if there would be a better world, this show shouldn't exist (and yes, it's my opinion)
Thank you for your criticism everyone.

No, they are just going to sell plushies and figurines of the episode 1 door as merchandise.
Nope, looks like the plot is finally happening:

Glad it only took 2 years for something to happen.

EDIT: Here's an archive.

That's where you're wrong, child. A third of the episode will be spent on characters trauma dumping all their woes. Enjoy therapy.
I could maybe tolerate it if none of that time is spent on Zooble.
Zooble is like an even worse version of Vaggie from Hazbin where her entire character only exists to be the masculine half of the yuri ship, only it's multiplied by her being such an obvious trans self-insert.
I can confidently say that if Zooble ever abstracts, my opinion of this series will double.
