It's really sad how her older work had better shading, composition, form, effort, EVERYTHING, compared to her older work. I understand some artists change their styles and approaches, but you usually see SOME aspect of their art that's clearly improved or at least reflects all the years and work they've put in. If I didn't know any better, I'd seriously think Rory's new work was her novice shit.

That being said, $40 for a quick flat colored sketch that looks like it's by a beginner is ludicris. Especially if she pulls that tumblr bullshit she does and changes the subject she's paid to draw so differently that it's unrecognizable.

I had to google Steven Universe, and Jasper/Garnet Fusion. Didn't find any example of Garnet/Jasper growing a left blackened mutant stump for an arm. Artists tend to undersell their art, but Rory, with her ugly scribbles, certainly belongs not to this kind of artists.

I draw, I get how annoying people going "oh, do you do requests?" or straight up being like "draw this for me" is, and yeah, "I don't take requests, but here's my commission info" isn't a bad response; and if the person in question is being entitled, an artist might be a little more curt. But holy fuck, this wasn't even a request, the person was just expressing excitement at seeing Rory draw Topaz. She could have easily ignored the comment, or even replied saying "Hey thanks! But I don't think I'll be drawing Topaz at this time." If she really felt the need to reply, but no we get this passive aggressive, holier than though reply.

I'll be surprised if she gets any commissions whatsoever with that attitude, she's going to push everyone away with her blue whale sized ego.
