EVS has an ongoing crusade to persuade everyone that Eric July is actually losing money and the Rippaverse has failed. Twice as stupid as it sounds at the very least.
I am well aware of that.

What I am trying to figure out is how deranged you have to be to believe that anything Eric July has done is equivalent to Fyre Festival.

There's hyperbole, and then there's insanity. This is insanity.

He doesn't believe it. He is gaslighting his fanbase and/or himself.

It's Zack tho. Can you really put your hand on your heart and attest he's not out of his goddamned mind at this point?

Frankly, I don't think Zack has been well since he threw in the towel on the Waid lawsuit.

He has enough brain to know what is the truth. He does not have enough brain to know that he is not good at lying. He can be both cunning and stupid. Cunning enough to think ways to get ahead by screwing others over and stupid enough to get caught easily.

I do not blame him. A draw/settlement was as good as it could get for him. We were overhyped. Waid might be a manchild but he has rich friends and in the Culture War, there was incentive to pay him money. Still, a protracted legal battle exposing him as a bully along with the settlement was victory enough for me. I know most wanted Waid paraded in a pig costume for all the village to see but that was unrealistic. There was not enough money for a lengthy lawsuit. At the same time, look at the victories from the lawsuit: Waid and every SJW will hesitate to go after people and their jobs (though some still try), Waid's friends run out of the remaining MCU money right around comics went even more downhill and we learned how to unite against the POGs (People of Genders).

No, while I do think that the settlement was a big blow to his mood, the main cause of his change has to be Eric July. Specifically people asking him about Eric.
Fans: "Why do you not deliver on time, Zack?"
Zack: "Because I take my time to make sure everything is high quality, dear reader."
Fans: "Eric releases the same level of quality on time. Why can't you?"
Zack: "I make better comics than him."
Fans: "No, not really."
Zack: "Fuck you."

I don't think Zack is lying as much as he's trying to convince himself that his delusions reflect reality. Zack is an absolute master of pulling the wool over his own eyes.
When Zack posts a video in which he admits that his last book was a huge flop which lost him money and then in the next breath says it actually wasn't a flop after all once he accounts for the mental gymnastics necessary to cope with his failure, who do you think that statement is for? Do you think it's for the 200 people who bought his book or is Zack trying to convince Richard C. Meyer that he's not a failure?

Same thing with his Eric July shit. He's trying to convince himself that he's better despite Eric July surpassing him in every conceivable metric of success. Some of it might be for his audience I guess but I think they're mostly just bystanders to Zack's YouTube therapy sessions.

Is he trying to convince himself? Yes. Is he trying to convince others too? Also yes. He is lying. He wants people to believe him and keep giving him money and to stop asking him why he is late. For that, he has to convince them that he is not lazy and that the lateness is from making sure everything is fine.

Friendly reminder that these faggots are using the death of a man who did everything right and was still killed by far left retards to gain points in an argument.
It truly disgusts me how so much of the left celebrated his death. Forget the memes and the dark humor. They were literally overjoyed that a political commentator, activist and podcaster who was a young father and husband was shot in the neck with blood gushing out (that was captured on video) because he was right wing.

The fact that a second American civil war hasn't happened yet is frankly a miracle.

This latest mini doc from TGFM is fairly significant. While GamerFromMars always reminded me of a slightly less stilted gay version of Top15s' Chills of "#15 Burger King Foot Lettuce" meme history, he does represent a far larger pool of casuals at roughly 10 times the amount of subs and more views on this one video than Sciverfrog will struggle to attain over the span of 20 uploads. It stands as a report card on the downward career turns of Ethan and Richard and fairly accurate as far as showing them as irrelevant grifters, although it is far too formal and polite. Permanent reputation destruction has now accelerated for those two bozos in particular, and it's wonderful to see.

Is he trying to convince himself? Yes. Is he trying to convince others too? Also yes.
I get what you mean, but consider that Zack has spent a significant amount of time actively "culling" his audience. He wants his backers to to be a very small cadre of committed Zacktards who will buy what he produces simply because his name is on it.

To his dubious credit, he's pretty much succeeded. The 183 backers for L.A. EX are what is left of Zack's paying audience. Those people do not need convincing.

The people asking about late books left a while ago. Zack already told those guys in no uncertain terms that he is done answering questions about late books and that his backers need to accept that his books are late, they will probably always be late and asking about them will not get them out any sooner. Those people are asking for refunds and are never returning.

If Zack has proven anything to me in the last few years, it is that he does not care what anyone thinks. He doesn't care if his backers believe him, or think he is lazy, or even if he makes less money on a campaign. Anyone expressing doubts about whatever comes out of Zack's mouth gets blocked right off the bat. Don't believe him? Bye. That's how he rolls. He's really not about convincing anyone. Richard has a massive ego and his track record points to him not giving a shit what anyone who isn't Richard says or thinks.

I will concede that he probably does want to convince people that the lateness is about some kind of autistic, years long QA process but that could also be rooted in his delusion and ego. He probably really thinks this is what he's doing, because he makes "the best comics out there" and that's just the process of producing great art.

As the noted philosopher Costanza once said: "It's not a lie if you believe it".

True but even these guys will start questioning if they will be paying for his next comic. They might not even notice it but slowly they will choose other things to spend their money on. "I might skip this one, I am not feeling it." If they subconsciously know that they will not get what they pay for, they will dwindle down on their own without a fuss. It is important for Zack to reinforce his control over them by repeating the lies but that delays the inevitable.

The fact that he blocks people and keeps going on about Eric is the biggest proof that his ego is very fragile and that he is not as deluded as he makes himself out to be. He knows he is full of shit and that his empire is build on a house of cards. I bet that he is in panic now.

He probably does believe he makes great art but he also definitively knows he is lazy. Whenever he thinks to himself that no work was done today, he knows. That is why he hates Eric. He thought that everyone was as lazy as he and EVS. Now, he knows who his betters are and hates it.

As the noted philosopher Costanza once said: "It's not a lie if you believe it".
Which is why he purged all those who break his illusions. He does not believe it anymore and he tries to forget.

Wow.....this is just SAD if they are so convinced that Eric July is upset over trashcast that he somehow bribed a completely different channel into making a video making EVS look bad. 🙄 These people need to understand that just because Eric July lives in their heads, doesn't mean they live in his. 🤡 I've never seen a more obvious type of delusion in my life.

Im surprised he and his brain dead audience expect ANYONE in their right mind to believe that's happening. All logic and current events point to growth and expansion as well as profit. The sooner he accepts that, the better. It's gotten to the point where even impartial onlookers know how full of shit he is by now.

See, I don't believe his ego is fragile at all. I have long maintained that Zack (like many cows) has a very strong case of oppositional defiant disorder. To me, Zack blocking critical feedback isn't an indication of insecurity or a secret fear that his critics are right, it seems to be coming from his utter contempt for most people and complete disregard for their opinions. Zack thinks everyone is stupid and ugly, their opinions are wrong, and he genuinely doesn't believe it is worth his valuable artistic time to respond to criticism. His "response" is not to respond at all, and on the rare occasions he does respond, it's always with anger and contempt.

Somewhere in the thread there's a screen cap of one of Zack's community posts where he asks for Punisher story recommendations because he's upset and wants to see "Frank turn some punks into marinara sauce". Zack's very first instinct when challenged is to use violence. Let's not forget that Zack has also said he can't watch male YouTubers because he ends up wanting to punch them in their ugly faces. This seems to be why he never engages in debates or takes part in any conversations that he can't directly control. He knows that disagreement is inevitable and he'll lose it and just do more damage to himself and what's left of his career. Remember, Zack has said he feels compelled to express his opinions and since he's too retarded to articulate them properly or defend his positions against pushback the only way he can speak his mind and not fuck himself out of a YouTube account is to snipe behind a cover of blocking and banning.

Zack's angry, contemptuous responses to criticism are him being calm and measured.

He knows he is full of shit and that his empire is build on a house of cards. I bet that he is in panic now.
Zack is too retarded to panic, but he's also never had a reason to. He has constantly failed upwards. Things just end up working out for Zack, no matter what goes wrong.
I think he's bored of the comics thing and doesn't rely on it as his main source of income, so it's just not that big of a deal anymore. In any case, whenever Zack is wrong, he wasn't really wrong, it's all due to outside factors beyond his control. Take away the incessant begging and Zack is kind of the DSP of indie comics.

"I did everything correct but my books aren't making as much money because crowdfunding is dying. Nothing I could do."

He probably does believe he makes great art but he also definitively knows he is lazy. Whenever he thinks to himself that no work was done today, he knows. That is why he hates Eric. He thought that everyone was as lazy as he and EVS. Now, he knows who his betters are and hates it.
I really think Ethan has something to do with it. Can't prove that of course, but it's really odd to me that after years of basically zero acknowledgement between Ethan and Zack, all of a sudden EVS is writing paragraphs of comments in Zack's anti-Rippa videos and Zack is saying Eric July should manage his "bidness" like Ethan. Must be another gangbang video floating around.
