I don't ever wish any ill on any movie project, even if Jackasses are jerking if off to the point of annoyance. However, if Black Panther does show cracks in the Marvel Formula, which it might very well do so, I bet he would spin it as it was racists that didn't want to watch a black superhero, even though Black Panther's parts were the highlights of Civil War and going back further the Blade series

T'Challa's B-list like most Marvel characters before the MCU that aren't Spidey or Wolverine. He's an important character in Fantastic Four, Avengers, and Captain America stories as leader of one of the most technologically advance nations on Earth and the first black superhero in mainstream comics. Marvel does have a problem of marketing him as "Black Man" instead of "Imagine if Bruce Wayne was a king" even before Social Justice took hold.

Ironically enough in the comics the Wakandans are bigoted isolationists who consider other nations as being primitive and beneath them. I'd love to see that in the movie to inspire massive reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeing, but I don't think that will make the cut.

Yeah, the Black Panther character in of himself is actually a very good character, but I seems to really be on the nose to make it his race that is the more important factor, rather than his character in of itself
