  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.

Any thoughts on the Netflix Documentary "Nobody speak?"
I was (and still am) pretty disturbed by Trump talking about opening up libel laws. I hope that's something that'll fall by the wayside. Well, and I have faith in the Supreme Court to do its job properly.

But yeah, Gawker got what was coming to them.
How can you make a documentary crying about freedom of speech being limited and not have a single raging college student or Twitter blue check mark?

We should stream this sometime.

"WE IZ GUNNA STUMP DA TRUMP"

TL;DR
This article goes nowhere.

You know, I'm still confused as to why the Dems want to impeach Trump and are still going at it with the whole Russia bullshit. What specific goal are these re.tards hoping to accomplish? I mean, regardless of what you may think about Mike "Two Men in Love Don't Make No Sense" Pence, whether you think he could be worse for America or better simply by virtue of not being Trump, he's still a Republican. So the left will finally be at peace when one GOP president gets replaced by another? I don't get it.

It's as if they're a whole pack of Wile E. Coyotes, and Trump is their Road Runner. Each successive attempt to get him blows up in their faces even more spectacularly, and yet they've never had the sense to give up! Why can't they just give up?!

...I know, I know...

Well, it's obvious, if Trump reaches the "people" through Twitter, and has blocked Stephen King, then Stephen King isn't really a person! He's a hideous Eldritch abomination temporarily in human form until his kind can finish the blood ritual to rise them all from the depths of the Earth. You surely don't think he thought up ALL those horror stories on his own? Right? They were his memoirs!

How I missed this for years I'll never know!
That's way too actually horrifying a concept for Stephen King, instead of an eldritch abomination from the depths of the earth it should be an alien, or a really evil car.

Also does this mean the only way to stop Stephen King by getting a bunch of pre-teens to fuck in a sewer? Because I give up if that's the case.

Some of them seem to be delusional enough to think that Pence would also be impeached and removed from office along with Trump, because obviously such an openly proud American concerned with family values and rule of law would just immediately start talking to Russia the second Trump suggested it. It's dumb that they think Trump colluded with Russia but it's unbelievable they can look at Pence and say "yeah he looks like the kind of guy who would break an oath of office and potentially throw away his job, dignity and life as well as the dignity of his family for basically no reason".

They don't seem to get that one reason Pence was chosen as VP candidate in the first place is to appeal to "traditional" Republicans who didn't like Trump all that much. Also if by some miracle they managed to get both Trump and Pence impeached and removed from office they'd STILL end up with Paul Ryan as president.

It's not *just* the Dems, which is part of why this farce has carried out for as long as it has. People in power don't like upstarts who move to Washington DC with the goal of changing things. It's not a secret that the majority of Americans hate the way our current political process works and have for years (Congress hasn't had a approval rating above 50% since before Watergate, barring a brief positive run while they were impeaching Clinton and a huge spike after 9/11), but the current legislators and especially the bureaucrats that actually run things behind the scenes are getting what they want out of it and the people can get fucked for all they care.

So you have this phenomenon of candidates repeatedly getting elected off a mandate to change how Washington DC works, and while most of them are charlatans who have zero intent on changing anything but say they will for votes (Reagan, Obama, George W. Bush being recent examples), occasionally someone who might follow through gets elected, and then things get interesting. Kennedy started seriously discussing breaking up the CIA and purging a lot of the existing US intelligence apparatus, only to be conveniently assassinated and replaced by a much more CIA-friendly VP. Carter was more-or-less frozen out of doing anything important for 4 years and the deal to bring the hostages from Iran was dragged out through the election to be signed the day Ronald Reagan took office. And now Trump, even though he's becoming more of a standard establishment conservative with each passing week, is constantly picking fights with the deep state and this nothingburger of a scandal keeps getting trickle-fed with new anonymously-sourced hearsay about even more tenuous connections to Russia.

I dislike a lot of his policies and don't think the country is headed in a good direction under his leadership, but the extent to which this Russia story is being dragged out makes me more sure that Trump's "Drain the Swamp" promise wasn't just a campaign tactic.

I think it's down to them seeing him as a personal insult. The democrats forsook everything and threw their lot in with Hillary. Trump shows them that they debased themselves, and destroyed any semblance of respectability or goodwill for Nothing.

It seems that Comedy Central's The Daily Show has opened up an exhibit in NYC dedicated to being a Donald Trump Twitter Library. It features a framed, lit picture of the covfefe tweet as one of its main attractions.

Additional highlights include a wall dedicated to Trump tweets regarding Barack Obama's birth certificate and, well...

Near the center of the room, towards the back, was a golden toilet, the throne from which we all assume Trump sends most of his early morning tweets. It’s flanked by an American and Russian flag, and across the floor is a large world map, with flags planted on every country he’s insulted on Twitter.
At least they have a 'what nickname Donald Trump would call you' generator on hand:

Even if trump were found to have colluded with Russians we would have to be at war for him to be convicted of treason.

Colluding with a foreign nation is not even a crime unless you are directing them to do something illegal

Just Putin calling Trump and saying 'Hey we're gonna release lots of embarrassing shit soon, prepare yourself' etc... would be perfectly legal.

you know, directing them to do something illegal like when Keith Olbermann begged foreign secret services to stage a coup to remove Trump #resistance

Look's like the video's been deleted (this was the link) and the player only shows random fluff videos, but apparently this was a thing that was suggested, according to this:

"Imagine If Celebs Ran the White House
'E! News' wants George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston, Teresa Giudice and more stars to play a role in the next presidential cabinet!"

Not really seeing anything about a new show in the making starring these celebrities, though, so might've been just some stupid click-bait.

But I did check out these current three polls on MSN's home page, and the results are in. :story:

this definitely isn't a fucking sad grab at relevance as their ratings continue to get decimated by the late night talk shows
