It's up to $905 now....wow.
I can just imagine chris's face right now.

It's probably this.

ONLY when the art is Bought Now for the full price, I will purchase a good frame for it and send it expedited in bubble wrap. If NOT sold for the Buy It Now Price, do not expect full care; it may become folded; crease danger!

Brother, that is a great way to get people to bid on your item.

If it's up to Chris I'm sure that the money will be spent on frivolous things. I do wonder though if perhaps Barb is making him sell Sonichu stuff. If so than I'm guessing the money will go for a relatively good use.

Brother, the horde rebuilding project is not exactly a good use

Saying that you will be more haphazard in mailing/packaging if your demands are not met is a real dick move. Like another user, I'm a longtime eBay user, though I've never bought or sold anything super-valuable (mainly stuff like books) and whenever I offered Buy it Now, I threw in free shipping and that was it.

Well well well, the little entrepreneur in Chris apparently wasn't completely dead yet.

It would be very easy to point and laugh at this... but I'm not going to. Not yet. If I did, it would be pretty hypocritical of me since that's what I've been saying he should do for a while now, although TBH I never actually thought he would actually show any initiative. So... gold star for Chris.

But... this is Chris. Either the winning bid is gonna be a fake account, or Chris will re-neg a legitimate deal. But let's say it is a legit deal and he does make some money on this. Do we honestly believe Chris is going to do the practical, responsible thing and buy groceries for himself and his mother, or is he gonna waste the large majority, if not all of it, on the Lego pile?

I'm going to wait for the second shoe to drop on this. If my guess is right, today being a Sunday... probably no later than Wednesday. If anyone needs me, I'll be on my lawnchair, throwing pennies at the weens.

Oh he'd spend it on legos in a heartbeat. LOTS. MULTIPLES.

No way am I going to read through 300 messages tonight. I'll just say that, holy shit, he is finally doing something that might actually work.

I really don't expect anyone to pay $900 for this though.

So how much longer till Nintendo steps in here? Sonichu and Rosechu aside, he's got a Pikachu-Raichu heart in there and the bids is now at a solid 1K.

The drawing is now at a cool grand. I wonder if before the end of auction it will hit $9,001. That would be a LOT of Legos! Unless Barb takes the money away from him and we know how spineless he is against Snorlax's demands.

It does seem like Fatty has swapped from Hording games to Hording Lego.

Nice to see some small modicum of effort from him though, sadly the CWC curse will strike again and everything will come crashing down around him again.

Not gonna lie. Although this is a pretty predictable outcome, it's a darn shame because Chris was at least doing SOMETHING productive instead of just demanding stuff.
There's still hope though, because Chris can be pretty persistent (read: bullheaded) in trying a certain tactic. I smell more auctions in our future.
Who knows, maybe the weens will get bored.

... Oh, who am I kidding.

You know what would be incredible? If somehow this auction does stick around for the full week's duration, and somebody actually does come through with the money, and Chris lives up to his end of the bargain and sends the picture in a frame that doesn't get broken in the transfer, and then Chris blows the entire thing on Lego.

Not going to happen, but the Facebook updates would be amazing.

I wouldn't count on then doing anything. First of all, we're now firmly in troll bid city, so eBay will probably act before too long. Secondly, I imagine Nintendo prioritise higher-level copyright offenders, like those useful reprehensible websites that let me barbarians download old N64 ROMs...
