I think the main thing right now is more that the Strait being closed doesn’t really help Iran. Sure you’ll have people blame America for it, but at some point if it’s impassable rather than semi-permeable it just hurts Iran. China and most of Asia can’t get shit if Iran is sperging out and randomly attacking ships like the Houthis did.
There’s a big issue with showing your hand like this. It justifies American aggression because if it works than they will do it again, so Americans have to fucking slap them down and kick their teeth in or gut the lot of them.
They did this shit with the Houthis and it basically is going after their sugar daddy this time. International shipping can’t deal with some uppity Muslims bombing shit.
The justification for attacks Iran is multifaceted if you look at it from preventing nukes, preventing a normalization of piracy/ shipping lane fuckery, and general ensuring Israel doesn’t throw a colossal shitfit.
Iran has long been a chimping piece of shit such that no one is blaming America, only asking them to stop so Iran stops having a meltdown tantrum.
The only people not blaming Iran are the usual browns and I hate America mindcontrolled lefties.
With all this in mind, they are still WINNING though
*Capital in flames, leader ACK'd twice, military infrastruture completely gone, but something like 50 jews are dead*
ALLAH HAS GRANTED US A GREAT VICTORY.
I mean, I don't like the jews, but I wouldn't burn down my entire country to kill less than 100 of them. Iran is really putting my jewhate to absolute shame. Complete mogging of supposed "rowdy goyim". I'd kneel, but its too close to Manlove Thursday and I'm afraid they'd misinterpret.
Is there shipping through the Strait yet? Have Iranian drone strikes stopped yet? And even once those points are reached, it remains to be seen how badly Iran has degraded logistics facilities and terminals in the Gulf nations they’ve been striking. The economic fallout for this will continue for months.
- Shipping is going through the strait.
- Iranian drones are down 95% adn they launched on missile last night.
- Depends. Russia's oil infra after Ukrainian strikes has downtime measured in months because Russia is sanctioned to hell, and they also used retarded bespoke Soviet designs.
The Gulf States are not sanctioned, have access to the #1 oil economy in the world the US, and use refineries patterned on US designs which means parts are likely available*
- There will be some ripples from the trade snarl but most people won't even notice them.
* For full disclosure: Every refinery uses some left of custom parts/fitting so customizations will need to be done. But for US refineries is more along the lines of "We built our valves starting from standard parts" so its a case of customizing vs. new manufacture. And when there is a wholly custom part, there are CNC models to produce a new one.
IRAN’S AMBASSADOR TO CHINA: PASSAGE THROUGH THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ WILL BE CONTROLLED, BUT THE STRAIT WILL NOT BE CLOSED
China flexed on Iran
The Persian fears the Celestrial.
What would an actual nuclear armed nation do if it was in Iran's position? At what point are you allowed to respond to non-nuclear bombardment with nuclear hellfire without being the bad guy? I think we are past the point of no return where if Iran had nukes it would have used them right?
They would have launched the minute their Supreme Leader was ACK'd but they would have launched against the attacker not uninvolved 3rd party nations.
Amazed to see they're using wooden props, though.
The US has never stopped using wooden props. I have forgotten the material science but we have a species of spruce or fir tree with wood that makes for props better than any metal or synthetic material and it is cheaper. If you were cold-booting a wooden prop industry it wouldn't make economic sense but since it was already created and capitalized in the 1930s, the profit margins vs alternatives are enough to keep it going and modernized/competitive.
I heard Venezuelan crude has terrible quality.
You have heard correctly. It is high-sulfur and very viscous with a lot of other impurities. It is usually made into high-sulfur diesel which is only good for use in ships and the turd world with no emissions regulations. The US is the only nation that can process it without it needing to be mixed with other oil to cut it or a buch of expensive chemicals (IIRC the US process still uses some chemical components but a small degree of them)
But the oil market is a global market. It is like a sponge. Meeting the needs of the turd world with bunker oil means they aren't trying to buy higher grade fuels or oil, which increases availability and reduces the price. Given geographic realities this benefits the US disproportionately but still lowers global prices via availability.
Not to mention with Venezuelan oil coming into the american market plus the huge oil find in Guyana that sour crude that needs more refining.
Assuming Venezuela in the next few months allows more american investment and doesn't pull the rug on the US things will probably be okay for most people in north America. Maybe Chinesium becomes expensive but 3d printing helps some of that risk.
This is something people always forget. There is a reason Trump went to take care of VZ before finishing the job with Iran, given the issues that got maduro yeeted weren't new, and there wasn't even really any new waves of protests.
"Dishonorably sneak attacking" seems to have yielded us less than 10 US armed forces personnel returning home in flag-drapped caskets.
Had we "honorably" informed Iran of our intent to attack like it's fucking pre-Napoleonic Euro wars, I honestly believe that number would be much much much higher.
That's becasue the brown hands complaining about it just want dead Americans and the US/Trump to fail. Even if the attack had been announced, they'd be whinging about how the US didn't allow Iranian air defense a chance to shoot first.
I don't think it will be that simple, but oh man, I think you're right that there would be a massive amount of seething if the communist regime was strongarmed out of power followed by the embargo being lifted from freed Cuba. I can easily imagine Hasan acting out his rage live on stream over such a turn of events.
I am giving it better than even odds when the American Freedom Convoy anchors outside of Havana, Cuba opts not to be the nation that gives Trump a hat trick.
I don't like the hardcore zionists but I know enough to know that most of these countires issues are caused by their leadership and their corruption. Again Quatar doesn't spend all of its time seething about jews its moved on and done well.
Qatar still seethes about jews A LOT both directly and via their mouth piece Al Jizz. They have made common cause with Iran in opposing Jews via Diplomatic actions and support for Palestinians, etc.
The main thing is they understand there is more to life than losing your mind about the jews. Like you can hate jews but then also do other things as well. You don't have to wreck your country jewposting-but-IRL.
Pretty optimistic but I would say there are far more sleeper cells now then there were in the 1980s.
You also have guys like the Islamanigger in Austin who just get wound up by lefties and chimping imams and decide to go utterly mental on the decadent west.
