Mega Rad Gun Thread

It depends. Less desirable kits like BREN and Madsen kits don't have much value, HMG kits are priced high due to size alone and anything remotely tubegun/bent flat receiver will be priced out the ass due to the speculative market pushing "easy" kits on retards.
I'm trying real hard not to buy a micro uzi kit that I came across for $950 that had everything but the receiver.....

The Californians buying land in Montana are the ultra wealthy who fancy the idea of owning a hobby ranch. A good chunk will sell in a few years when they realizing it’s a bigger money pit than owning a yacht.

Your state gets fucked when you’re like Colorado and have a large enough city to be hospitable to hipsters and crusties (Denver).
Thats not entirely true, a good amount of the Californians moving there during the pandemic were remote workers who had money. They bought up a lot of land to build single family homes on or existing properties and that negatively drove up prices around Bozeman some more. Part of the issue they build quick and ignore zoning laws like don't build too close to a river or stream. One California home owner did so and wound up going to court about it with the locals worried that their existing zoning laws would get ignored and create more cheap housing with high risk of disaster. There was also the issue of people attempting to maintain two properties because they get a return to office notice. I can't find the channel where I saw the video about it but it was some Bozeman area realtor who wasn't happy about the influx of Californians.

This is the rule of thumb, if Californians are moving to desirable, scenic states like Arizona, Colorado, and Montana, then they are going to bring their politics with them. If they are fleeing to places like Texas and Florida, then they are most likely escaping and moving to an area that caters to their politics. Not everyone votes for the insanity in California, it just there is no stopping it now.

Monstrum is making some interesting budget stuff.

People are currently panic-buying FMJ Blazer and Winchester whitebox. Top quality ammunition. What a fucking travesty, I'm stuck buying the same good shit that I always buy because the prices on them aren't going up.

Not gonna lie I really like the scifi look to it, the whole "phased plasma rifle in the 40-watt range" kind. Though given the name I wonder if they licensed it to use for the whole scifi theme?
I think they're just being Chinese-edgy. I saw that for the first time when checking if their newer Archangel line had fallen enough in price to roll the dice. I like the look of those too.

I'm intrigued by the construction of that Terminator version though. One of the comments on the Amazon page says that front piece is a solid rigid chunk so I'm curious.

On a related note, do you think we will see a decrease in the price of parts kits once the boomers start dying off?
I'll play devils advocate, and say yes probably. Since Bush 2s machine gun barrel importation ban was overturned by the current admin, that means all kits imported now can be imported with an intact barrel, which greatly reduces build costs, and deflates the value of older kits that lack barrels substantially (better receiver cuts not withstanding).
See: Cetme C kits with no barrels selling for sub $75

On the attic note, you should really try and build a kit or two yourself. Its really fun, I had a good time making my Galil.

I don't know for sure if it's the extractor or what but around 300-400 maybe 500 it will start to struggle. cleaning fixes it right up.

Guess I have an excuse now to run one of my remaining Mks until it's way dirty. I'll see if I can recreate the issue, might be a project spanning the whole year since I mostly shoot centerfire calibers these days.

Is it just me or does the recent Reddit pedo tranny, before he trooned out look like a certain person that likes to show “un remembered weapons”

why do they always pick names that are spelled strangely? wtf is a brynn?
How dare you insult Xe/Xim like that, you transphobic bigot

Anyways on topic, I could use some help kiwi's. I've got a 16" Aero M4E1 collecting dust in my gun room after I stole the Viper LVPO off it for another project. The Aero now has no irons or optics and I'm undecided on what to put on it now. I have rifles already with the typical LVPO, Eotech + mag, Holosun red dots, etc so not sure what I want to slap on this Aero. Do I get another LVPO, do I look at something like that new Sig Romeo 8T-AMR, or do I get something weird like an AEMS or what? Help me decide Kiwi-sisters

Don't diss the prism! some of us have astigmatism so bad dots look like a smear of red paint on a window.
I kept a Steiner prism on my LMT, worked well. had BDCs out to 600 yards as i recall.

ended up making a few hundred profit off that upper when i sold it on. replaced it with a generic M4gery build that i haven't shot in years.

Hmmm, any rec's? Or is ACOG the only choice? Can't say I own a prism optic yet so fairly new to what's worth it and what's not

i've only had primaryarms prism sights so while i can't exactly compare them to any other brand they're solid. their micro prisms are remarkably small; they're pretty close in size to a standard red dot like a romeo 5.
