That's no reason to not make your own JA.Really don't get why this exists, since ya know Jagged Alliance 3 is a thing and it exists.
You know what's bullshit about End State, I'm pretty sure I've known about it since ~2018'ish. And the first time I saw it, I was really hyped since at the time I was disillusioned with how simple the firaxis reboot of xcom was. That's no reason to not make your own JA.
Here's another wannabe, it should be leaving early access "soon".
But it's kinda weird when it pretty much copies JA3, since you're playing mercs who are sent to African country during a civil war. That's no reason to not make your own JA.
Looks more like a nu-Xcom clone than JA one.Really don't get why this exists, since ya know Jagged Alliance 3 is a thing and it exists.
Ultimately "mercs in African shithole" is just an another common setting like wild west or Tolkienesque fantasy is.But it's kinda weird when it pretty much copies JA3, since you're playing mercs who are sent to African country during a civil war.
Not that common actually. Like in terms of turn based tactical games, we only have this game, JA3 and Jazz: Work for Hire (which was gonna be JA3)Ultimately "mercs in African shithole" is just an another common setting like wild west or Tolkienesque fantasy is.
You could've fooled me that this game was actually set in Detroit, it looks less like Soldiers of Fortune and more like a pastiche of modern SoF tropes.Ultimately "mercs in African shithole" is just an another common setting like wild west or Tolkienesque fantasy is.
Feels like the game has been done for a while. After spending over 9 years on early access, Stellar Tactics has now a date for full release.
have you tried reading the thread or using the thread search featureHas anybody tried MENACE?
No. Why would I do that?have you tried reading the thread or using the thread search feature
I do think the intelligence feature and the vehicles make the game stand out from other tactical RPGs. You can basically have an APC mounted with machine guns and rockets ferry around troops who can use it as cover, which is pretty rad.I liked it a lot, but wait for it to get out of EA. Currently the game just ends once MENACE finally shows up (and I think the whole map/mission select structure is basically a placeholder but they don't mention that anywhere either).
Are they trying to push the overall game in a le heckin' special ops direction, or are they just developing the concealment and ambush features? They did say in their dev logs that they would now focus on the SOF parts of the game so I have resigned myself to see the game lose the parts I actually liked about it.
