Two 8-month-old pit bulls that were loose in Nanaimo attacked several children, severely injuring at least one. Other people that came to aid the children were also injured.

The children were playing in a yard at the house of one of their friends. The dogs were from somewhere else in the neighborhood and had been cited for being at large previously.

One of the owners of the dogs came and got the dogs but did not stick around. The news interviewed the other owner, a Dangerhair that looked to be in her late 40s or early 50s. While she was devastated at what her dogs had done, she said to the reporter, "People are saying, look at this from the prospective of a parent, well, these dogs are my kids, too," and then she broke down crying.

It was later reported both dogs were euthanized, as there have been other incidents prior to this one, and due to the severity of the injuries the one particular child sustained.

To the dangerhair dog owner I would have to say, "If these dogs were your KIDS, you did a lousy job of raising them. Thank heavens you didn't spawn any of your own."

Someone started walking a shitbull along the route where I take my dog. I carry an extra leash in case I ever need to blood choke it. I found this video years ago. In searching for the video I found people demonstrating how to do this with only your hands. If it's life or death then it's worth knowing about. I'd archive locally but I'm on my phone with shit Internet.


As the guy says, it's VERY easy to apply the choke for too long and kill the dog. Do with this info what you will...

It’s not a miniature tank. Bash the animal’s nervous system and it will go into shock and release, or choke it out. There’s a somewhat well known story of a man that saved his dog from a big male pit by choking it to sleep.

Whether by trauma or asphyxiation the animal will stop the attack when its nervous system literally shuts down from brain scrambling or lack of oxygen. We’ve all seen pits keep biting after getting shot in the body multiple times. Gotta destroy the brain, like a zombie movie. Fitting.

Yeah the main thing that makes pitbulls different is that they don’t feel pain as much as other dogs, so they keep fighting even when injured. A dog fight between normal dogs would be kinda boring because one would get his ear bit and then submit/cower away to avoid further injury.

Pitbulls are bred not to do that, so you have to get them with something other than pain, eg shock or lack of air.

You need to be caving these fucking animal's skulls in with sticks, clubs, your bare fists, or even biting the dog's goddamn throats out. The animal is no longer holding back and so neither should you. I am convinced so many grown people die to these mere 60-to-70-pound mini hellhounds because they are unwilling to viciously kill a dog, whether they own the beast or not.

A guy on a bicycle in Detroit heard a lady screaming when she got attacked and rode over to try and help. He probably saved her life. I will say from experience that hitting them to get them to stop does nothing. If anything it makes it worse. You have to go for the eyes, airway, stab or shoot them.

DETROIT – A 68-year-old woman on Detroit’s east side nearly lost her life when she was viciously attacked by pitbulls, according to her family.

Around 8 p.m. on Sunday (March 29), Rita Emery was outside her home, picking weeds.

It seemed like any other spring Sunday, but soon, it took a bloody turn.

“This right here is where that blood was, right?” Local 4’s Kyla Russell asked their son.

“Lost two pints of blood before she was taken to the hospital,” her son, Sean Emery, said.

You can still see the signs, stained and splattered, on the concrete and on the couch.

Sean Emery says it felt like just another ordinary weekend at Pulford and Meldrum streets.

“The dogs pulled her to the ground and just were mauling her the entire time,” Sean Emery said.

A block away, a Good Samaritan heard her cries and biked to her to help.

“Heard her all the way from Mack,” Sean Emery said. “He drove down Meldrum on his bicycle to try and help her.”

“Grateful for it,” Sean Emery said. “He is my mom’s guardian angel.”

She crawled to the house where her son was inside.

“What was it like when you saw her?” Russell asked.

“It was the most gruesome thing I’ve ever seen,” Sean Emery said. “The dogs had stripped her naked and blood from head to toe.”

Rita Emery got to the hospital and endured a 7.5-hour surgery. It’s one of several maulings to happen in recent days across the area.

“If you have a dangerous dog, then please, keep it contained because the consequences can reach beyond your home,” Sean said.

The family shared a GoFundMe to help cover Rita Emery’s medical expenses.

No, it needs to be euthanized. There is zero reason for random ass, regular civilians to have "dangerous" dogs. Even then, we know these dogs in question are not dangerous in the practical sense you might want a police or military dog to be. They're just rabid.

Almost all animals will escape their enclosures from time to time. It's just a thing that happens. There's is no way to responsibly keep a dangerous animal around.

Very late but I remember reading about this woman who sorta did this, she would handle the venomous snakes by hand and died to a gaboon viper

To get back on topic, I don't understand the whole "but chihuahuas" argument every chihuahua I have met has been really nice same with most small dogs I have met apart from being yappy the only ones I have seen that were shitty were due to their owners being shitty. Even with their own arguments on how its how you raise them fall flat because its always the trashiest/irresponsible people who get pitbulls, And whenever the pitbull attacks somebody the owner tries there hardest to keep their little murder mutt alive which again I don't understand, knew a guy who owned a cane corso and it bit his kid, thankfully it wasn't bad but he still got the dog put down because it could of been worse. I am not going to preach to the choir about how they are genetically more violent and etc because its been said 1000 times better than I could put it. They are not nor will they be a family pet and if you truly want people on your side instead of explaining how an infant diserved to be violently mauled to death because it sneezed you should be talking about the inherent risk of owning the breed and shouldnt hide the history of dangerous dogs so unsuspecting familys buy one and have their lives ruined.

Just watched this one and came here to post it. Here is a quick summary for anyone who does not want to watch it:

Husband and wife are out of state, so they are having their babysitter check on their three pitbulls every few hours while they are gone. One 23 year old woman is no match for three pitbulls and the inevitable happens. They attack her and the paramedics try live saving measures, but it was too late. Hey wait a minute, did you say babysitter? Yes, the pitbull owners have THREE children all under the age of 5. I hate these people so much that I can hardly stand it.

I feel like I've seen multiple videos of adult men bashing a pitbull in the head with heavy sticks or boards or other implements and it does fuck all and the pit continues to maul the victim. I want to show every prospective pit owner the videos so they know what they'll be dealing with if their dog goes off.

I think choking is the most foolproof way to get it done. You just have to hope it stays locked on to the toddler, pregnant woman or grandma long enough for you to get the choke in place before it comes after you instead and screws up the positioning.

Take any sharp object, including a large house key, insert into the foramen magnum (where spine meets skull). Go in at a shallow angle, as flat as possible to the back of the neck. Twist and/or yank side to side. At best you’ll hit the brainstem and it’s instant lights-out, or part of the cerebellum or spinal cord, partially or fully paralyzing the animal. At worst you’ll give it something to think about and likely force disengagement.

Of course, if you have a firearm, putting the barrel in or just behind the ear and firing at a flat angle should also hit these structures. You want instant death or incapacitation. Collar chokes are unreliable (assuming the animal even has a suitable collar), require decent upper body strength, and risk you getting bitten and/or the victim’s injuries being exacerbated.

I don’t know if the UK regards multitools as ‘knives’ for the purpose of public carry, but I have one in my EDC and it has a pair of 3” blades and a variety of spikes and screwdriver bits that would do the job.

Dealing with an enraged pibble owner screaming that their yelping, flopping, partially paralyzed pibble was ‘just playing’ with the mauled dog/child/senior citizen afterwards is another matter, of course.

The right ammunition helps, you want an unjacketed or soft-nose bullet if you’re going for a heart shot. As a kid I used unjacketed .22 ammo (RWS flat nose target .22 rounds) to hunt wild dogs with surprisingly good knockdown.
Jacketed 9mm from a pistol is not necessarily going to be a reliable rapid kill even with a heart/lung shot. An unjacketed .22 even from a pistol, jammed in the ear, should pretty much be an instant lights-out for Fido. Plus much less chance of throughshoot with unjacketed rounds.
 
I think most people carry 9mm at a minimum so overpen can definitely be an issue with how shit a lot of expanding rounds seem to be
