I didn't have one I could honestly get by with the mobile power cord and a 120v outlet.
On the other hand, my EV would take 6 days to fully charge from a 120V outlet. I get a charge rate of a stunning 2-3 miles per hour. Even the 32A 240V mobile charger is a bit constrained for an overnight charge. I installed a full 80A 240V at home so no matter what charge level I get home with I can always have as much charge as I need by morning. Or at the very least enough charge to survive a multi-day power outage. Also, my EV is my only car, I'm single so I decided to have one car to do everything I needed.

Because of family stuff I've been driving a bit more, until I have access to a working plane again. Here's a sample drive, I obviously don't live or stay in any of these places but the distance is similar to my normal trip. 5 stops over 9.5 driving hours for 1.5 hours of charging. So an average of 20 minutes per stop, which is only a little longer than I usually take. And I need to stretch my knee about every 2-3 hours anyway. Of course I also would never stop in Fresno or Sacramento as my car is likely to have its wheels stolen while I'm in it. I'm sure I could optimize it further and probably drop one stop, but I like the margins when I'm driving in similarly rural areas.

So, here's a thought I just had. Since it seems like the EV boom is going bust; with sales all over the world plateauing, new projects being cancelled, and some governments no longer providing incentives; who here thinks that humanoid robots will the next big tech boom that we all hate? With Tesla already in the process making the pivot and axing the Model S and Model X to make their Optimus bot; and Chinese state propaganda also shifting towards such humanoid robots (de-emphasizing EVs a little bit in the process as numerous brands have already collapsed), how soon do you think the Tesla hate umbrella will expand to its clankers?

The Tesla Robotaxis are so bad that even the Tesla shill accounts can't cover up the flaws:

I see that they're also no different than Chinese robotaxis also failing in similar manner, but they all just come to a complete stop instead:

Chinese automakers are pivoting towards EREVs and PHEVs, and some like Geely are pivoting to HEV cars too.

how often are you driving 400 miles in a day in a sedan
Well, I'm not, since I have a nice pickup with 450 mile range, which means even if I'm keeping up with the flow of traffic I still get plenty of range, I keep it to about 250 to stay in the optimal charge range when traveling and give a buffer when a charger isn't working or is full.
Actually looks like they say "up to 400+ miles" and reviews saying "320-350 on the freeway".
Then you do the math for reserves for dead chargers, etc.

A Huawei car, the Shanjie Z7, failed during a demonstration by not being able to drive off the stage on its own:

at this point i consider any electrical vehicles in china, and this includes 2 wheeled machines, to be ticking timebombs, ive seen multiple videos of chinese EVs just randomly catching fire while parked, and I've even seen certain parking garages take steps to ban EV from the garage so that there is less collateral damage.
