Troonslop "Retro" Games / Demake games / PS1 Trannies / ULTRAKILL / Y2K trannies - Retro gaming is infected

That's how feedback is supposed to work - you give out a product, and then when the clientel tells you what issues\positives it has, you redo it and re-ship the product. I don't know why a game can't be released like a supply line of designer clothes does, it's basiscs of business.
Those revised products need to be bought again by customers to experience said revision, whereas Early Access games only need to be bought once. This encourages a lot of scammy behavior on the part of the game developers, as they tend to focus more on keeping the money train rolling than ensuring that a complete, high-quality product releases. Really, if developers wanted to do things this way, they should just start pumping out sequels galore like their predecessors in the 80s, 90s, and 00s did.
Not that it would fix anything, imo game devs these days are way too comfortable nickel-and-diming customers to stop if they suddenly no longer "needed" to.

It's not exactly troonslop but where the fuck else can I post about the Mouse P.I. game I was looking forward to turning out to be Reddit cringe and punch a Nazi jokes by Commonwealth taxpayers who seem to be footing the bill for half the boomer shooters on Steam

There is also the problem that rectifying and remaking something entails: the cost. You may say that it's nothing compared to the profit it can generate but today people are not willing to take risks if profits are not ensured. Remember that sometimes companies will pass on candidates if they believe that after training them and working for a while they will leave for another one that offers better conditions.

I think the same is regarding game developmen. Early access allows you to rectify with little risk while if you remake your product and re-release it you run the risk of being a blunder and having to eat your losses.

The absolute gall in this sentence. Implying Tetris, Mega Man, Super Mario, Castlevania, Tempest, Space Invaders, Dodonpachi, Battle Garegga, Raiden, Crimzon Clover, DariusBurst, Bubble Bobble, Metal Slug, OpenTTD, Factorio, Mindustry, MDK, Quake, Unreal, DOOM, Minecraft, Terraria, Starbound etc aren't art because they don't have a generic "capitalism bad" message. Being fun and entertaining IS the art you retard!
In general this talk about video games being art is so cringe and reddit tier in itself. Nowadays, literally nobody would tell you that video games are stupid/ not art outside of maybe some 60+ year old person, yet those people insist on it as if they are making some big statement about the culture.
Paradoxically, it comes off as trying to convince yourself. There is a nice C.S. Lewis quote that goes something like "When I grew up I put away childish including, the fear of being childish and the desire to be very grown up". Good example of this that came to my mind would be movies about Godzilla. Redditors will go on and on talking about how Godzilla is actually about the nuclear bombs as if those people can't just come out and say "yes I like watching a guy in a rubber dinosaur costume destroy cardboard buildings" instead they have to go out of their way to tell you that a movie about a guy in a rubber dinosaur costume is actually a 300 iq sophisticated critique of the atomic bomb that only very serious and smart people will understand.

The second point is that exactly those people seem to be the ones who don't believe video games are art. Look at the debate about God of War series for example. Classic trilogy is an action packed series of games where you actually press buttons while the new one on the other hand is a one big cutscene about a very "serious" and "adult" subject of "being a good dad who talks about his feelings or something". Which one do redditors like more? Obviously, the second one. They were gushing over it like it was the best game ever. Talking constantly about how the series "grew up", that it's no longer just "stupid button mashing" and now "video games are a serious medium" with "serious things to say about society" and things like that. It is they who will trash countless video games in their pursuit of "video games are art".

Roger Ebert was very boomer and autistic about semantics but he had a point when he mentioned how the more videogames try to be "art" the less they are actual videogames, they loose all the aspects that make it a "game" .

Around the time he wrote that article just about every game that was sent to him for consideration as "true art" was a cinematic movie-game or a walking sim of some sort, like Journey, Dear Esther, Gone home, etc. Its been a long time, and those are still the type of games that get put on the "art" pedestal.

Does DungeonGals count as troonslop? Just stumbled into a Steam trailer for it clicking through queue and I feel like it's got everything. Nu-pixel presentation, dyke threesome main character bodypos furry cast, you can make them kiss each other etc etc
Someone mentioned it before, but I'm 100% sure the dev is a troon, so yes it is.

Where did I ever say that like bro? I literally just made fun of some indieslop that forces a political message that’s all

Checked the game and beyond Steam the dev has an Itch.io page where they peddle it. The art is awful (fat characters with pot bellies and faces remind me of CalArts style) and the gameplay is almost a carbon copy of Celeste with a few things tweaked. In Steam there are so far 3 positive reviews so it isn't getting too much traction.

Aside from that while i couldn't ascertain if they were a tranny (they most likely are from what i've seen) they also make music and they are a furfag. They have a Bluesky account that mainly talks about being a gamedev being hard and reposts fanart and furry stuff.

Pretty much. I would've broken it further down, but there's already been one too many experiments that tried to put as little gameplay into their video games as legally possible, and got away with it scot-free. To the point where a lot of them are glorified movies that you have to pay for the privelege of being able to render yourself. I guess this was also influenced by how blatant Big Faggotry propaganda is genuinely harder to push through gameplay - in part because the propagandists can't conjoin the agency and the agenda together well (causing many a ludonarrative dissonance), and in part because they're lazy-ass hacks that are too knavey to work in Hollywood but too degen to not want to work there.

EDIT: There's also a quite a lot of coping when it comes to the "muh art" argument, which, despite what the faggot cultists may blabber on about, is the exact opposite of being an adult.

Imma loop back to Eric Berne's massive theoretical base on Transactional Analysis, for there's the Adult, the Parent and the Child - and then there's a few flavors of the latter two. We're gonna look at the Adapted Child and the Free Child for this schizopost of mine. Free Child I'm not gonna talk about because this is one half of what Lewis's quote referred to, with the other one being about the Adult. Just the Adult, nothing else attached to it.

And then there's the Adapted Child, an ego state that initially helps us navigate through this world, socialise, be considerate towards others... and then, under circumstances and very little self-awareness, it can very much mutate into something thrice as insecure, victimised, obedient, rebellious and/or pretentious as before. Basically, it starts off as a survival mechanism and ends up being a suffocating coping mechanism as well - which is proooobably why the trooner shooter congregation is so massively religious about... many things they say and do.

Again, that behaviour is not one of an adult.

Was looking forward to it to but my interest dropped as soon as i heard Troy Baker and Debra Wilson were in the game. Celebrity VAs aren't uncommon in indie games but it sends off some red flag but then i heard about the other nonsense in the game and I'm cool. Of course we get proven that the only ones that can make a 30s inspired game and keep it in line with its era without adding corny shit is Studio MDHR.

We had this thing called "Shareware", when your game is free for it's first part\few levels, and then to get the full experience you'd have to buy the full version. Would be something nice to add to the "nostalgic" feeling of one's indie game, since this trick is from the 90's.
Deltarune literally did this. It got dropped out of the blue as a "survey program" for free. The first chapter is still free. Unfortunately, it dropped the entire "survey program" framing device once chapter 2 dropped, and now it's just Undertale 2. Can't wait for Undertale 3: Nutdealer.

This would be fixed if all Steam Early Access games could be refunded at any point for any reason, even after a thousand hours, and even after "releasing", but it would take Valve a particularly heretical brainwave to implement that kind of policy. And, realistically, it would only make shitdevs no longer put the "early access" label on the game, because it's mostly just a label.

He will finish Deltrarune when he's 50, and then make another game - but it will be the newly added characters from Deltarune swapped to be in Undertale. He will upload his brain into an AI computer so he could reap sheckels from Aging Tumblrites and groomed children for another decade.

Underrune 3 where everyone is old af but still acts like a teenager whining about their problems.

Reminder: the gap between GTA V and VI is looking to be 4 presidential terms (if it releases in November this year).

Deltarune is currently at 3 terms, and may be just as if not longer depending on when all 7 chapters release.

Waiting nearly 10 years or more for a 2D pixel gamemaker game when Toby has millions and endless talent at his disposal, no matter how you slice it, is embarassing. I can understand keeping the team small in case of leaks, but ts should NOT take as long as a $2 BILLION funded game by a AAAA studio like Rockstar. :cringe:
