Warhammer 40k

I was actually just thinking of using those minis for a border prince army lol.
Inexorably based. It’s the cannon for me, I read the Arcane Journal and saw the gun, saw the cartoonish but fun pit crew and I got to cooking with making an exiled noble house.

That manticore has possibilities if the ridiculous throne is taken off and replaced with a man’s saddle. Thinking of which model to use as a witch is also fun. Could go full Arthurian/Baratheon with it or could get the Realmgore Ritualist and have a fucking witch doctor in tow.

Honestly the biggest thing for me would be finding someone to take all the female and nigger heads I wouldn’t use.

Went ahead and did Genefather and, while I didn't enjoy it quite as much as Great Work, it was still really solid. Haven't liked a character as much as Cawl, or Kvo, since Andrej and Grimaldus.
Fabius was fun. Not much to say about him other than his new-men are kinda dumb. Beastmen are cool though.
Primus is still boring. All the neat things about him just make me more interested in Cawl, but I do kinda like their relationship. Primus is a little too anime tsundere about it, but Cawl being both aloof and sincere makes up for it.

The Cryptek in the story was also a blast. Idk if people hate ladycrons or not, but she was a sassy cunt and I loved it. Made me want more robots so I'm checking out Infinite And The Divine.

Should read Archmagos first, next Cawl story with the female Necron

Female necrons make sense, they were made out of flesh previously and sent literally everyone into the biofurnaces to get turned into combat robots.

If you want to know where that necron comes from, there's a short story featuring Primus and Qvo, as well as an inquisitor and some other imperials, To Speak as One that's kind of a prequel.

IIRC the "Cities of Sigmar" faction has all the normie humans now in some vague Empire toned mishmash.
They were just the empire and dwarf models back in the day.

Now it's empire models but replaced with nigger women!

Half the book is Trazyn and Orikan yelling "Fuck you and I'll see you next decade!" and the other half is the other Necrons getting so pissed off at their constant backbiting they force them to work together as punishment.

And then the final part is Trazyn alternating between having a plan and yelling IT WAS JUST A PRANK BRO.

Sub saharan africans have always existed in the mortal realms chuddy! I wonder if semites exist to lmfao.
The kharadron overlords are a borderline Jewish caricature.

They are a greedy nomadic merchants who got kicked out of their original homeland ages ago.

And it's absolute kino all the way.

God I wish the rest of the BL works were as good as that one. I consumed it in a single sitting and didn't even realize time had passed. Almost makes a person want to make a Necron KT or something.

They make an excellent Stadtler and Waldorf, that's for sure.

the general shift in vibe from "barely holding the line against the bad guys" to "actively pushing back and outmatching the bad guys" has been unmistakable
I kind of get it from a vibes perspective, but at the same time have to disagree because the setting doesn't actually support that being the case.
  • Cadia destroyed, Iron Warriors now besieging the other systems and planets around the Eye of Terror.
  • Literally half the Imperium in the dark, essentially lost.
  • Terra itself very nearly had a civil war after Robute showed up because of the High Lords bickering and scheming.
  • The Golden Throne is failing with maybe 200 years left before its dead and the Emperor with it.
  • Parts of the Inquisition and AdMech positioning themselves against Robute and Cawl respectively, leading to more instability within the Imperium
  • Tyranids starting to eat the galaxy from every direction all at once.
So yeah the Imperium has two Primarchs back.. one of which has actually done anything, and despite his best efforts and amazing accomplishments the entire thing is still barely holding on by a thread which wants to eat itself.

Which, frankly, has always been the point anyway. It's amazing how many think the Imperium hasn't been in a death spiral since the setting's narrative began. It's just that the Imperium is so Emporer-damned big that the spiral is gonna take a long ass time to complete....

They make an excellent Stadtler and Waldorf, that's for sure.

"Query, Nebenether?"
"State your query, Khaket."
"Do you ever experience dread at not being able to feel joy, laughter, or anything resembling a biological emotion?"
"Not when I watch THIS show, Khaket."
*Robotic imitation of laughter protocol*

Now I have to think up of a Necrontyr version of the Muppet Show theme.

Also have 4 chaos primarchs stomping around with a 5th likely to get dropped later this year, supposedly Lorgar may be active as well, a recent chaos mini god, orks acting up again prompting another war for armageddon, necrons cutting off the warp in entire sectors causing humanity and anything else there tied to the warp to just get so lethargic they die with no way for the imperium to enter those areas and do anything about it with a large force, the cult/true/dark mechanicum popping up more frequently in books, Fabius Bile getting his hands on the geneseed of Alpha Primus and he's cloned primarchs and has his new-men or whatever, some new necron character that collects c'tan shards like pokemon and was such an issue the silent king had him erased from the memory of all necrons, Guilliman getting an entire crusade fleet wiped out and having to run away from necrons, Ciaphas Cain is officially retired even though things keep showing up on his doorstep...

But yeah to say that things are looking up for the imperium is just blatantly untrue.

I stopped paying attention after the initial reveal, so can anyone bring me up to speed on what happened with the female custodes ? Did GW succeed ? Or was the backlash and subsequent boycott of the product a success and GW had to bury it and pretend it never happened ?
