What is the relevancy of literally 90% of the video in that video? Very little of it actually connects to anything, it's just rant after disconnected rant as the B-plot to the A-plot of an overstretched designer-focused history lesson that, after an hour, still hasn't actually got to the point, which is supposed to be the T-72. The T-80UD which is an Ukrainian variant, the major change in this variant is replacing the gas turbine with a diesel engine, giving the T-80UD (and the subsequent more indigenous variant, the T-84) the same pitiful reverse speed found in the T-72 and T-90, one of the major criticism of both tanks.
Another major change is the welded turret, and commanders remote machine gun. The T-84 (both the base T-84, and BM Oplot) also features a reversable gear box which allows 30+ kph in reverse.
What's funny is Ukraine actually had a lot of T-80s post collapse of the USSR, they modernised, and sold Pakistan 300+ T-80UDs with thermals simply because they were too expensive to maintain, the T-80UD was a disgustingly expensive tank by soviet standards (You could buy 4 T-72B for the price of 1 T-80UD).
