Before that pic loaded in, I assumed you meant Rosario Dawnson and thought "Jesus, would that be a weird choice for a 13 year old."i think they used the girl from the ashoka show as reference but they somehow fucked up an already cursed design even more by making her face too fat

It's actually wild to think someone could go from this to talking about how people won't be discussing Star Wars unprompted. He's obviously changing the subject because he's too scared to actually try this and be proven wrong.Go try to strike up some water cooler conversation at work with a star wars "fan" they won't have any idea who the fuck Revan, Bane, Exar Kun, etc. are. For them Star Wars didn't exist between episodes 6 and 1. You can even see it with regard to something like Red Letter Media, yeah they're big star wars nerds but they never talk about shit beyond the movies with the exception of something like the Christmas special. I'm not even sure they know the Endor movies, Ewoks and Droids cartoons, etc. exist.
I wouldn't go that far. It's just a matter of talking to "normies" that aren't as terminally online and into random nerd shit, and that seems to be the hang up. Obviously you're not going to have a watercooler conversation(maybe he doesn't understand what a "watercooler conversation" is and is hung up on not having a watercooler at work?) with some gen alpha kid, unless they're a relative or something. But there's zoomers in the workforce. I don't even disagree that zoomers and alpha would be more likely to know stuff from the EU compared to baby boomers and gen x due to the actual popularity of the clone wars cartoon and videogames, I just don't think we're at the point where they're actually 50% of the fandom. And they certainly aren't consuming Disney's recent crap since no one is consuming Disney's recent crap so even between the Clone Wars cartoon and now there's going to be a gap outside of stuff like some of the videogames. Battlefront 1 and 2 got mentioned earlier, but BF2 and KOTOR 2 came out in 2005, Force Unleashed 2 was 2010, people seem to have forgotten that exclusivity deal(other than the lego games) that Disney had with EA for years and hardly did fuck all for most of it.It's actually wild to think someone could go from this to talking about how people won't be discussing Star Wars unprompted. He's obviously changing the subject because he's too scared to actually try this and be proven wrong.
I never said that people won't be discussing Star Wars unprompted? Not even once? I said that the last time I talked about Star Wars at work we got on the topic by discussing old RPGs and KOTOR was brought up, and that you can find out whether or not someone knows some of the big parts of the EU in the course of a normal conversation. It's actually wild to think someone could go from this to talking about how people won't be discussing Star Wars unprompted. He's obviously changing the subject because he's too scared to actually try this and be proven wrong.
1): Star Wars is quintessential 'random nerd shit'.It's just a matter of talking to "normies" that aren't as terminally online and into random nerd shit,
I will say this again in the hopes it sinks in. In my personal experience it's been a 50/50 split amongst younger fans.I just don't think we're at the point where they're actually 50% of the fandom.
Shaak Ti died for this. Absolutely disgusting.Hot Toys did the unthinkable and showcased everybody's favorite looks for Ahsoka Tano.
They must be smoking some real shit because this looks hideous.Hot Toys did the unthinkable and showcased everybody's favorite looks for Ahsoka Tano.
Yes, the IP that Disney bought for 4 billion dollars was just nerd shit with no mainstream appeal outside of nerd circles. Yeah ok.1): Star Wars is quintessential 'random nerd shit'.
Who the hell ever said Star Wars was an internet happening? I also didn't say everyone you talked to was terminally online. Again with the failure to fucking read.2): Why are you assuming that everyone I've talked to is terminally online? I don't given we don't talk about internet happenings in the workplace.
I didn't say "everyone". Again, much like how you couldn't understand the concept of striking up a conversation, you're just imagining shit that wasn't posted. It's just a matter of talking to "normies" that aren't as terminally online and into random nerd shit, and that seems to be the hang up.
I will say this again in the hopes it sinks in. In my personal experience it's been a 50/50 split amongst younger fans.
No you didn't specify the 50/50 was among younger fans. You simply said it was 50/50 and that the younger ones were more familiar with the EU(again, I'm not disagreeing with this part). You did not say it was a 50/50 among younger fans, simply people you talked to. Am I supposed to assume you're having conversations with kids about shit? Where was that qualifier? You're imagining shit in your own posts now.I dunno, when someone tells me they're a star wars fan there's usually a 50/50 chance that they actually are pretty familiar with the EU. Usually the ones that aren't are younger zoomers who grew up when the EU was getting overshadowed by Filoni Wars or boomers/gen xers who were too old to have kids when the prequels were coming out.
You forgot the shit you typed in your own post, where you put the qualifiers, and then tried to pretend after the fact that your "younger fans" qualifier was there with your 50/50 statement. You're the one that needs to do something about the reading buddy.Stop accusing people of only reading half your sentences or being dyslexic when you can't even understand qualifiers.
Luke did I ever tell you about Asoka Tano, your father's teenaged apprentice?Hot Toys did the unthinkable and showcased everybody's favorite looks for Ahsoka Tano.
Its mostly because the sculptor gave her breast implants of a 23 year old e-thot but also the look of an unhappy 10 year old girl. They also made the leather on her top like (at scale) 2 inches thick so it makes her tits look even bigger, but fucks up the lines so they look even more unnatural. You really notice how creepy and inappropriate this outfit is when it's rendered realistically.![]()
Furloni goons to wolves and pedobait, and they didn't want to make another wolf figure. Not to moralfag, but how the fuck did that Ahsoka figure get approved? Using the likeness of a real child makes it disgusting. If it were Rosario Dawson that'd be one thing, but the girl who played her in the flashbacks was only fourteen or fifteen at the time iirc. Also would this violate the UK's CP laws? Because I feel like it's definitely bordering on that.
You say you're getting the 50/50 figure from your personal experience "going around randomly" asking people to gauge their knowledge of Star Wars, but then you sayso maybe I'm not the best person to just go around randomly asking people to gauge their knowledge of Star Wars - amazing conversation starter in the year of our old 2026, btw, I suggest you try it sometime - when I already know the answer, but, again, in my personal experience of having done that it's been about a 50/50 split as to whether they know some of the big parts of the EU.
So when you were "going around randomly" were you only asking "younger fans" about their knowledge of Star Wars? Or did you mean that you got the 50/50 figure by "going around randomly" to fans of all ages?In my personal experience it's been a 50/50 split amongst younger fans.
This may shock you, but nerdy stuff can also have mainstream appeal. The biggest movies of the last decade were all capeshit. It doesn't change that it's still nerdy.Yes, the IP that Disney bought for 4 billion dollars was just nerd shit with no mainstream appeal outside of nerd circles. Yeah ok.
Not me, I don't know why you're asking. Maybe reread what I wrote, because I said we don't talk about internet happenings.Who the hell ever said Star Wars was an internet happening?
I also didn't say everyone you talked to was terminally online.
It's just a matter of talking to "normies" that aren't as terminally online and into random nerd shit,
Just because your circle of friends knows the EU material and read the books, does not mean the random people who are fans of the movies(which would be in the hundreds of millions at this point) knew or cared it existed. For the general non-nerd fanbase of star wars
If I have to explain how someone could reasonably take way that implication from you repeatedly mentioning this, there's no helping you. That's why I said office watercooler, not local game store, nerd hangout, or whoever your fellow nerd friends might be.
"Normal Star Wars fans don't know about the Star Wars EU. Ask people at work."Again, much like how you couldn't understand the concept of striking up a conversation
Yes, I did.No you didn't specify the 50/50 was among younger fans.
Again, my point is simple; when I talk Star Wars with someone who calls themselves a fan and they're younger, there's usually a 50/50 chance they're familiar with the EU.
Again, don't throw stones in glass houses. We initially misunderstood what we were both talking about, so I tried to make my point as clear as possible and you still misunderstood.in my experience, there's a 50/50 chance that if someone younger says they're a star wars fan, they're familiar with some of the biggest names in the EU
Am I supposed to assume you're having conversations with kids about shit?
I'm not going to keep arguing this. Everything that could have been meaningfully stated has and you constantly accusing me of things that I can show you doing is not productive. And that is why people are telling you that the prequels are twenty years old now, because millennials and most zoomers are grown adults
Obvious sarcasm is lost on the autistic. You say you're getting the 50/50 figure from your personal experience "going around randomly" asking people to gauge their knowledge of Star Wars,
Or did you mean that you got the 50/50 figure by "going around randomly" to fans of all ages?
Most of the people I work with are around my age. Would that bias the sample pool? Sure. I've also not claimed my personal experience is scientific, just that it's a indication that younger fans are more familiar with the EU.Again, my point is simple; when I talk Star Wars with someone who calls themselves a fan and they're younger, there's usually a 50/50 chance they're familiar with the EU.
Probably somewhere around 85/15 if we're just counting boomers and gen-x. Heir to the Empire came out in 91. Most definitions place the Millennial generation as beginning in 80 or 81; while some of those initial sales for the Thrawn Trilogy were probably for older millennials, the majority were going to be for gen-x, who were kids/teens when the movies came out. Same for early EU game entries like the X-Wing and Dark Forces, and the Tales of the Jedi comics. What do you think the split would be if we excluded younger fans from the sample?
Don't slutshame togruta culture. She's a good friend. You really notice how creepy and inappropriate this outfit is when it's rendered realistically.![]()
Hot Toys did the unthinkable and showcased everybody's favorite looks for Ahsoka Tano.
lol gay.In ninth episode, the last Dathomirian brother died, Maul's pet droid died, what was left of the Mandalorian warriors died, and Rook Kast died, but wouldn't be surprised if she somehow survived in the next season.
In the last episode, Darth Vader showed up and duel Maul and the Jedi. The Jedi Master died, but not by Maul.
