Phil is talking about whether he'd play Super Turbo on FightCade rather than on the Switch. That's a great idea! On Fightcade they play the authentic arcade version, the netcode is great, and the players are dedicated and knowledgeable. That would solve all Phil's problems with the Switch version.
But he just came up with contradictory bullshit reasons why he doesn't want to.
"Everybody on there is so dedicated and obsessed with the game, so they'll take it too seriously and I just want to have fun" (Um... don't you rant and rave that nobody on Switch knows how to play the game at your pro-player level of knowledge?)
"Everybody on there will try to destroy me for the bragging rights of beating DSP" (Yeah, so? With an arcade-perfect version and no lag, wouldn't it be fair? Why are you scared of that, Phil?)
So I really think that Phil would rather play the Switch's USF2T - driving himself and his audience to madness with the lag complaints and the salt - than play the game on a platform where he can't make excuses.
