I still find it bizarre that Bob being a full blown authoritarian is angry that the police are given better sticks as one may put it. I mean in his mindset in the right hands they could be used to snuff out your enemy. I guess the problem is that authoritarians are pressed with in countries with democracies wanting to give the government more and more power.

Also, Bob is willfully ignorant that some of the most trigger-happy police forces have been in the bluest of states like California, Boston, and parts of New York.

This is dumb not only because it would mean having officers with no attachment to the people they are protecting, but also because laws differ across state boundaries.
