For some people it's because it's the only claim to relevance they have and they don't want to lose it (ie, Quinn, Wu, etc...), and for others it's because it serves as too easy and convenient a scapegoat to let go of.

edit: I also don't get why Justin claimed adultswim had nothing to do with the sauce stunt, besides trying to shift the blame ofc. the small dipping packets have r&m on them, so adultswim had to make a deal with McDonalds or otherwise they wouldn't be allowed to use the images for their product
