Have you noticed since Neon became important, PK has tried inserting the other Turf Tigers into the story as well? Like Vivian working in Telsic Yard with Neon, and Shizu being Jupet's sister?

I went back and re-read all of Flora and I think PK had the plot sort of planned out until the timeline fuckery ( she still "retconned" the first version of Itchy Itchy and Curiosity Killed The Rat, I just realized I read the old versions ) but Neon could be a new addition. She never appears in any flashbacks, even that scene where Cress "falls" through ~foreshadowing~:

Yeah, I don't know why this is so relevant, like it isn't anything inherently bad that PK has done ... I just find it interesting, and it's just more proof of her short attention span I guess.
And yeah, just like Lily and Jupet clearly were (as they were edited in later), Neon is a character that PK never even thought about when the original story was being written. She just goes along with whatever pops into her head in the moment, and I bet when the last chapter of Seeds was being written that she never even thought about white Beleth, Jupet, Lily/TAL, and whatever the hell is going on now. So no, I'm sorry to say, but I actually don't think PK had planned much of the story out at that time!
But imagine if this page was edited again now. How many Neon symbolisms would we find there? Because it is currently very much dominated by Beleth, her old self insert.
(Yes, I still have the old version of the comic where Beleth was actually bearable.)

those images are incredible. just incredible. I'm amazed that PK made a page that was supposed to be foreshadowing but then had to go back and edit said page once the story happened so it would actually work. (does this make sense? sorry I'm tired)

Gods trying to save seeds (???) instead of time traveling to save the future. And one autist to remember it all! Though Steins had interesting characters. Ops, got that one wrong glip.

I hate when PK gets attached to a character because with each redraw, their design (and personality) gets progressively worse.

Also the body's undergoing some spaghettification. Even the forehead got longer.

Neon's face also keeps getting longer, and her goggles weren't always the size of frisbees.

Her art style in general has seemed to evolve from cute, round, chubby--into long, bug eyed, tiny pupiled, pencil-bodied, tumor fur tufted screeching harpies.

Well, here goes that inch of credibility I thought her story had.
I guess she'll go and edit Neon in Try, Try Again at one point, since it's obvious she never exsisted there.

Looking at how the characters used to be designed it's so weird, especially Beleth, they had a nice stoic expression and almond shaped eyes.

To be fair, this is a thing that often happens in comics or art, characters shifting in appearance as the artist's way of drawing them develops, but that said a lot have definitely changed for the worse. I'm neutral on Amdusias, and Lily's old design isn't great and looks child-like, but her new one is just ridiculous with how big PK's made her mane. She's made all her characters so lanky and stretched out, plus she always ends up giving them huge round eyes because everybody needs to be able to spastically emote otherwise she thinks they're too dull.

Old Beleth was a good example of how you can have your characters have differing emotive ranges. Usually a very stoic/flat expression, differing from a lot of the others with much more varied or expressive ranges. Now fucking everyone is spastic and emotes in the same way. I think Lily, at this point, is the only one we haven't seen emoting in a batshit crazy screechy way, other than maybe Claude? The way PK's characters emote/screech/overact reminds me of The Fairly OddParents.

Because if no one was interpreting her characters as underage, there'd be no problem. You can call the character whatever age you want, but if you draw them with childlike proportions and mannerisms, people will certainly "construe" them as kids.

Dialogue-free version. I also tried to fix Neon's posture so she looked like slightly less of a turbocharged autist and her reaction wasn't completely overshadowing Lily's by virtue of being about a million miles over the top. This really is not about how bad we should be feeling for poor, stammering, cringing Kid Neon right now, PK, or at least it shouldn't be - and why is she cringing, anyway? She's coming off like a battered spouse. The world won't stop spinning on its axis and hurl us all into the depths of space if her reaction isn't presented as if it were the most important thing happening in every single panel she's in.

Bravo for doing the God Jesus's work there. That panel is 10 times better without the dialogue.

Maybe if she were a better writer she wouldn't get bored with her characters.

To be fair, Lily always has those tear-drop shaped shoulder tuffts giving her that "poncho" effect, but I agree about the hair. Seems like it's getting un necessarily huge and pomfy like a Lion's Mane or something.
