The irony here is that Malka could've just pointed out that they later banged with her consent, get the mods to ban anyone who tries to poke holes, and by the next day we would have been just capping the normal NeoGAF screencaps of them screeching about JonTron or whatever problematic shit that burned a hole in their minds that day..

They’re going to eat each other further as they battle for “specialist snowflake of them all”. These types of communities never prosper. Neogaf had name recognition and a few gaming industry orbiters, Jason Schrier, that kept it somewhat relevant. This new place won’t have any of that.

This new community will not thrive as long as the old moderator team is still there.. It's one thing to whittle down your userbase from like 100,000, it's completely another thing to try to start a new forum and build a whole new userbase with the same core ideas of banning everything. It will be 1 new user added, 2 users banned everyday.

It is extremely telling that even SJW-haven forums like Waypoint (Where even Jed "Amiibo Butt Boy" Whitaker is welcome, a person who was seen as too much for NeoGAF itself) is immediately telling them to read the likely very very different ToS and stick to it.. I expect them to banhammer a few gaffot refugees just to illustrate that point too.

That's what I'm not so sure about. I think the only non-batshit thing that distinguishes this from the 2012 incident is that the prior incident was something that was posted on his own site, in his own words, and subject to his own control.

Here you've got something that appeared on Facebook, with a girl that has a name and face, and she's apparently now talking to the press.

I'm not sure Malka*could* come back from that. And the funny thing is that it's their own SJW bullshit they (with his approval) worked so hard to promote that has ENSURED this revelation is fatal. After all, we HAVE to believe her, right?

No, the true irony here is that Malka raised a monster, fed the monster, protected the monster... and then it fucking ate him. Because, in the end, that's the true nature of this particular monster. That's why it's so damn funny.

This is basically the last thing any reasonable person would tell Malka...

Although in their case, in might not even be so much the sheer power as it is the power to maintain an SJW safe space. Smugness aside, these people would have their ass kicked if they tried to involve themselves into the greater ecosystem that is the internet. To actually debate somebody outside an echo chamber. These are the morons that think Reddit is too "alt-right."

It strikes me the people freaking out the most are the general users. To quote Metokur, "The furries are killing themselves, and the SJWs don't know where to go." This is an absolute disaster for them. This is an explosive decompression of a safe space.

Something else that occured to me, that hasn't been mentioned yet (I don't think):

The sheer amount of people that were demanding that Malka turn over control of the site is classic. Once again, they have absolutely no concept of what private property rights and the free market is. Like he's under any obligation to do that.

This is why they don't comprehend why their autism doesn't get every developer to do what they want. More and more developers are starting to figure out these assholes aren't buying their games anyways.

Welcome to the real world, assholes.
