If Dan is one thing he's either monogamous or single, if you wanna mine some shit look for Dawn Cody. She's another redhead way out of his league he dated while in Channel 101 and they broke up mysteriously. My gut tells me it's the same story but this was before his open alcoholism so it leads me to believe his pathology is deeper than substance abuse.
I think we are dealing with a Louis CK thing here, where he has such a low opinion of himself he gets off on humiliation. He, like CK, has spent his career insulting everything he is - white people, men, and heterosexuals - while glorifying everything he is not.
In one Harmontown episode he said white people should take responsibility for all racism to "get it over with" and move on, like he was willing to personally accept the burden of all racism just so he didn't need to hear about the ongoing debate anymore. This is a man who deeply, deeply hates himself.

In an early Harmontown, he said that as a kid, he somehow got the idea that you only have to wipe three times and that's it. No matter what kind of mess, three wipes, done. He only learned otherwise as an adult (I think the story involved him wiping his ass with a towel and throwing it at Schrab). He said this in front of a microphone and a live audience.

I hate this because it challenges my cool take, but it does raise a good point I forgot until now: Erin's dad is either a priest or a pastor. This was a big deal in their relationship that was only brought up a few times. But just imagine that, this Man of God seeing his daughter marry this sick degenerate Hollywood writer and then divorcing less than a year later. There's a real "fuck you, daddy!" vibe to this whole thing.

Honestly, between telling Erin that he'd kill himself if she ever left him in front of a live audience and the observation that Harmon sports a lot of the manipulative traits he projects onto Rick (and to a lesser extent, Jerry) I would be genuinely surprised if there wasn't a little bit of guilt-tripping bullshit on Harmon's end to make the marriage happen.
It does also make me side-eye Harmon's "friends" more since anyone with half a brain could tell that his and Erin's relationship was doomed from the start, but either because they don't give a fuck about Dan or just don't want to deal with inevitable his temper tantrum no one seems willing to point out the obvious.

I can't remember if it was Dan or someone else mentioned on Harmontown but apparently they thought you had to get into the shower after going to the bathroom to blast the shit off your browneye and they scalded their asshole because the water was too hot.

Reading through this thread, it's easy to see that Dan has had many problems in his life, but instead of getting help he turned to smoking weed and now drinking a shit ton of alcohol. Literally every recent performance I've seen of him, you can tell he is fucking hammered, especially on Harmonquest. He'll never get help though, otherwise he would lose the source for his "edgy" comedy.

What baffles me is how he's managed to convince himself that anything going on in Poland right now could possibly be America's fault. I know Harmon would answer "muh Trump" but Poland (and lets face it a good chunk of Europe) has had these issues bubbling up before Trump even announced he was running for office. It's like people like Harmon believe that these sort of things literally cropped up overnight because a former reality TV personality got meme-d into the Oval Office.
Unless of course Dan thinks that those damn Pollacks are too exceptional to govern themselves and need America to be a role model or else they'll collectively say "WHELP guess it's time to fire up the ovens again" and start rounding up citizens for the gulags. Not sure how Harmon's supposedly Polish family would appreciate that assessment, especially since Eurofags loathe this sort of "America's Burden" attitude when it comes to other countries' problems.

Judging by season 3 production, I'd double the amount of time it will take until season 4. I can't imagine things between Harmon and Roiland are doing so well. We know they were fighting during season 3 production, and that interview where Roiland reveals he's doing projects without Harmon (who gets very defensive and confronts him right there lol), it doesn't look good. I know it will come eventually, but like Mr Poopybutthole said in the finale, we'll probably have grandkids and a big white beard by the time we see the next season.
