So just some general thoughts/points of interest.

1. Phil claims he can't move back to CT because of snow and back issues with shoveling said snow. However just because you don't live at the condo doesn't mean you are no longer responsible for upkeep, who then is shoveling the snow now? Why couldn't they keep shoveling it?

2. Honors programs in low tier colleges (like Phil's) are a joke. The school makes it ridiculously easy to achieve because when they get school rankings and government subsidy they can say, "Hey look at all our honors students. We're awesome. Money/rankings please!"

3. I thought the point of the penne joke is that pene (pronounced similarly) in Spanish means penis. Are you reading this Phil? You like to eat penis because it's easy. That's the joke.

The concept of the Streisand effect still eludes him even after his 8 year legacy.

Great example of this is the "Okay" thing on his instagram. Hardly anyone actually did it then he felt the need to "address it" and he did so on Prestream which showed he was bothered by it despite his constant attempts at saying it doesn't bother him. If it didn't bother him he wouldn't have addressed it. That alerted a wider audience to the Okay thing and from that point on his instagram gets flooded with Okays as they know he's bothered by it. What did he expect when addressing it on stream? "Oh, he called the Okay thing immature and called us morons. We better stop." Of course it's gonna bring the new troll tactic to everyones attention. Does he genuinely think this will work at all? He does it to defend his fragile ego and defend his fragile pride but it just makes shit worse. You'd think at some point he'd learn that "Oh someone trolls me this way, then I address it and I get everyone trolling me that way... I should ignore it."

Fuck, the ultimate example of this is TIHYDP. He practically advertised that shit. He constantly talked about it for a month because his ego is so fragile he felt the need to defend his shitty gaming skills and he ended up bringing everyone's attention to it, and the views went from like 5000 to tens of thousands, then people started telling their friends etc. Then that gave birth to an entire series of TIHYDP videos and the detractors themselves. You'd think after that especially he'd have been like "Okay, addressing these haters on stream doesn't work."

I can answer that one. Since he had no direct sidewalk to his unit and no garage (which means no driveway of his own) I'm almost positive the only time he had to shovel snow was when the parking lot was plowed and he didn't move his vehicle, resulting in him being plowed into a parking space.

It is like this guy is so indoctrinated he looped around to being a detractor. Nobody on those forums, outside of Phil himself, does more damage to Phil's reputation and not-business then this guy. All he does is constantly call for bans and make passive aggressive comments until the thread is locked or erased. Anyone who wants to troll these forums should stop making long winded posts filled with truth that go ignored just mirror what this guy does because he is the best troll there and he doesn't even know it.

They just repeat what he says no matter what.

I honestly can't figure out why Phil is in such a rush to play MGS 2 and 3 again over Mario Sunshine. Maybe he doesn't know this because he spent so long in his managed partnership bubble, but speaking as someone who operates a very similar channel to Phil's in terms of laziness and vidya, Konami is almost as notorious for immediate content-ID matching videos as Nintendo is, ESPECIALLY for Metal Gear-related kahntent.

It's going to be so hilarious if he reaches the stretch goal, only to immediately wave the white flag and beg for even more money because he can't get dat Youtube ad-revenue. He'll probably whine some more about it being an illegal practice, "stealing my money" and all that horseshit after he makes two-fucking-thousand dollars for a Patreon goal whose purpose totally isn't for some reward, but just because people want to help him pay his bills.

Not only that. Another reason is because he assumes "haters" will come out in droves to see a repeat of quite possibly the most well-known examples of his ineptitude, since they were the birth of the TIHYDP videos. I'm guessing it's why he even bothered with Metal Gear Solid. Because he figured that any Metal Gear playthrough he does will get more notoriety simply because of the TIHYDP's and Phil's infamy with the series. It's why the finished playthrough of MGS1 ended up being much more corny and overblown with the hating on Kojima and the plot of the game. Because he knew the detractors were watching, and he was playing it up for them, so word would spread and he'd get more viewers.

Unfortunately for Phil, this won't be the case for MGS2/MGS3. Unless he can top the absolute nightmare that was Metal Gear Solid (origin of amazing khantent such as Kojima World Order, an hour for a boss fight, and Phil laughing maniacally throughout the game and taking the biggest possible dump over the game's story), nobody will care about MGS2/MGS3, since it's just going to be a watered-down version of the original playthroughs, but without the stand-out moments that made them so infamous.

Phil's an idiot as an everyday individual, but he's an evil genius.

I don't know why this line of thinking gets trotted out every so often. Phil only got lucky to have found his niche of mentally-ill audience to give him cash. To anyone else with a half-working brain, his schemes are so painfully obvious, it's absurd and hilarious.

You don't have to be smart to milk cash from idiots. Anyone could do the same, provided he/she also got lucky and found his/her own set of idiots to bilk (this assumes trading off one's dignity and morality, of course). DSP's luck in finding his useful idiots is the only thing that separates him from, say, Jake Alley, who otherwise is the same dumb fat fuck Phil is.

I was looking at some of the tax changes being discussed in the US right now and ran a rough estimate on what kind of effective tax rate (fed and state combined) he might be looking at. Assuming he buys 2 $60 games per month and considers an eighth of his WA condo as a business expenses it'd be about 15% which is insane. Dunno how much of the proposals will survive though.

Also occurred to me: if he made ANY reasonable attempt to lease out that CT condo he could consider it an investment property and deduct 100% of its costs from his income and reduce his taxable income by like $20K a year which is insane. Maybe one of his fans who lurk here will see this and say something to him about that. It's not just a possible $800 in rent he could get a month, he could also save himself fuck tons on his federal taxes. But let's face it, more work isn't worth more money no matter how little work or how much more money.
