TGWTG Kyle Kallgren / Oancitizen / Brows Held High - Afraid of the Eggnog Ninjas, "Male Feminist" that Abuses Women, 2nd-rate Cinema Snob, Hugh Hefner A-Log, Fat Creepy Incel Cuck

He seems a bit too bland imo, the only thing of interest I've heard about him was some people think his dad beats him

I remember he said he was scared to go outside after Brexit, as if people would know to beat him up for losing just because he looks like a cuck.

I don't think he's worth a thread, though. There doesn't seem to be that much content.

I think that's just /tv/ being silly. All I've found is he's a slaphead in denial, he wears stuff representing his town (not sports team, uni or local band stuff) unironically, he's a massive wuss and (this is my opinion here) he's possibly gay. Nothing really threadworthy.

Oh no, that's not the case at all. He looks down on people for not sharing his education. He was a college student when he first started out on Brows Held High, no doubt acquiring a worthless major like film studies. This granted him a smug sense of intellectual superiority over the plebeian masses and no doubt his colleagues. His views on other people are quite obvious with but a rudimentary glance at how he conducted himself back then. If anything, his time spent at Channel Awesome humbled him by two major degrees as they made him kowtow to their standards. Having people scream feminism down his throat over his Girlfriend Experience review was probably the kickstarter down his road to paranoid schizophrenia.
To be more specific on Kyle's education: He was a theatre major during undergrad, at the start of Brows Held High, then in 2013, he got his M.A. in Film & Video from the American University School of Communication.

While I'm talking about his M.A., now's the time to introduce Election Cycle to the thread. Election Cycle was Kyle's M.A. thesis film, the culmination of his years of film production studies, a requirement for the degree.

"Why should we care about this?", you may ask. Because it's a good example of how, at his root, he's nothing more than a self-serving man-child with a big ego, and I find it funny and pathetic. The major details are:

1. He made a fucking Kickstarter, with a $9,000 goal, to get his fanbase to fund it. I understand the temptation to e-beg, since equipment rental alone costs a huge chunk of change, but $9,000 is way overpriced.
2. Most of this money was meant to go toward making it a SAG production, because he didn't have faith in actors without a SAG membership to "bring the script to life". Because apparently beggers can be choosers now.
3. His fanbase pledged over $16,000, but to my knowledge, nobody got their promised rewards. The rewards, by the way, included arrogant shit like a Twitter shoutout from Kyle, a phone call from Kyle, props and behind-the-scenes junk, and an invitation to the premiere screening (which wouldn't be like a major ceremony, because again, it's a student film).

TL;DR: Kyle Kallgren thought so highly of his thesis film that he turned it into an overpriced spectacle and asked outsiders to fund it, and when they pledged almost twice as much as he asked for he didn't give them so much as a "thanks" in return.

EDIT: I was mistaken, Kyle did give out the Kickstarter rewards. If nothing else, in this Tumblr post, he mentions giving DVDs to his backers.

So Stephen Fry is the gay equivalent of an Uncle Tom now? They can't even keep to just hating straight white men anymore.

Since 2013 tbh. Ever since Tumblr called him transphobic, he's been the enemy. Because why pay attention to recent things when you can judge a person by a joke made in 2009?

Is there at least a copy of the film online or has that disappeared too?

By the way, that Kickstarter video is fucking murder on my patience. Constantly restarting the pitch to get the time travel concept across is still fucking up the pitch. It's not half as clever as he thinks it is.

I just did some digging, and there's not a full copy online, never was, and never will be. In the words of Kyle, "It's not my best work. I think I'm done with it." However, the film's DOP posted a short scene from it to Vimeo. It's... not great.

The DOP also included some out-of-context clips from it, minus the audio, in his demo reel. Personally, I think it sticks out as the dude's worst-looking stuff.

Oh boy, a twenty-something year old bitch condescending to an elderly man by comparing him to a 12 year old getting their first erection. This is cliched male feminist writing, alright. No wonder he shelved this, I too would be cripplingly ashamed if I boasted about my supreme intellect for the better part of a decade by dissecting art house movies only to deliver the most pandering script hobbled by TGWTG-tier prose ever written by a sixteen year old FanFiction.net veteran graduating to their first ever original work, only for it to be revealed it was written by a sexist pig closing in on the start of his thirties.

There's a poem that befits this quite well.

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert... near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed:

And on the pedestal these words appear:
'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

I'm not surprised about that in the slightest honestly, he's a pale skinny british cuck who's probably 100 lbs soaking wet, I don't think he goes outside to begin with.

Oh I'm sure, but again, most interesting thing I heard, nothing solid on it, but even if it was, not thread worthy really, what are we going to say 'oh no, he might be gay, and was worried about Brexit' he's one of those nothing people on TGWTG, but might be worth checking on him every so often if he goes off the deep end.

You have got to be kidding me, what the fuck, how much of a pretentious ass can you be to think your senior thesis NEEDS SAG members for it. You should want to do your absolute best for a Thesis, your education has all lead up to this point, but goddamnit.

Looking at his patreon he seems to have pretty decent numbers

One of his tiers is called "enablers" soi 'll give him points for self-awareness in this regard

He complained about him ruining masculinity so... no?

I kant read.

Enjoying porn is toxic masculinity, obviously. Hugh created an entire generation of toxic males with his playboys.

Every person I've seen has complained about Hugh Hefner ruining society because he sexualized women and took advantage of them by making this popular. I assumed Kyle feels the same tbh.

I always thought this guy's show was obnoxious as hell. He gets cameos all the time in other shows on the channel for some reason so if you've watched any of the major members of the channel then you've probably been 'graced' by his perchance to interrupt reviews for a 'WELL ACKSHULLY' moment. So it doesn't much surprise me that he's completely obnoxious in real life as well. Though I still will never understand the male feminist's hatred of pornography. Is their hatred of porn why they're so pissy all the time? Haven't jacked off enough or something?
