As idiotic as they are, I don't think they're as conspicuous as you'd think. Most people don't have the benefit of knowing the backstory, so he's just some random dude. It may become obvious that he's of below average intelligence when he opens his mouth, but it's not like you immediately become suspicious of someone just because you perceive of them as a dumb fuck. Unless he's running around with weapons (fake or real), nobody's going to give him a second glance. I agree with CWCissey - I'm sure Eli has something better to do in Israel than do Jace's bidding, but is going along with Jace's bullshit to get a free Xbone. If he does believe Jace, he must be slightly aware of Jace's obvious exceptionalism - at least enough to take Jace's ideas with a pinch of salt. That'd hopefully make a difference when going through border control.
