Hey, remember when Blob tried to claim that you can't uses old statements as ammo for why he's a monster that'd be at home as a party apparatchik in any dictatorship? No fucking figleaf to weakly duck into now, huh Bob?

Seriously, he's so amusing to read when he actually has to defend his ignorant and hate filled statements. He's mostly reduced to nitpicking words and just pure condescending bile, since he can't come up with a good counter argument at all.

I've seen Bob argue that he never said anyone should die (which isn't true but irrevalent right now) but I have to wonder why he used the word "Obsolete" so often. If your machine has obsolete components, what do you do? Now extend that to people.

The word "obsolete" got me thinking of this episode of the Twilight Zone:

Bob imagines that he would be the Chancellor dealing out life and death based on a person's worth, but the truth is, he'd probably be one of the first to get hauled in and sentenced to liquidation. No one, not even his fellow Superior Futurists would be willing to put up with him for more than a few months.

Is there a reason he's more of an unnuanced shithead today? First year anniversary of Trump?

But retweeting Eichenwald is hunky dory.

Bob NEEDS to be a bully and he is a bully, through and through.

A bit late, but I thought I would share my thoughts on this quote. As @Secret Asshole stated earlier, Bob operates on the intellectual level of a high school student, but it is becoming painfully clearer that Bob operates on the emotional level of an early grade schooler (if not younger.) His motives are incredibly simple: revenge. Those bullies that tormented him in his formative years hurt him and he wants to hurt them back as well as dismantle the system, however vague, that allowed it to happen. Problem is that he cannot get it directly as he is as powerless to do anything to them now as he was two decades ago and his former tormenters likely have forgotten about his miserable existence. Hence the the reason why he wants revenge by proxy.

He will go after what they represent in his twisted mind (masculinity, nationalism, etc.) and try to influence the state apparatus to "punish" another group that represents those values (Middle America) for his "suffering." Thus he see it as morally acceptable to treat them as subhumans that need to be either cowed into submission or eliminated altogether. The problem with his reasoning is that his influence is too meagre to work on anyone with rudimentary critical thinking skills and he vastly overestimates his own intelligence. Yet he has has hardened his own ignorance to the point where he has become delusional to where he cannot distinguish reality from his own revenge fantasy.

The tragedy and hilariousness of Bob's existence is that he has transformed into a bully because he cannot let go of the past. He had a choice to let his anger go and move forward, but he squandered it and took the easy path of hatred and crippling obliviousness. He needn't forgive his enemies. He could at least come to terms with the pain and leave it behind, but alas, that requires introspection. A skill Bob does not have because he has this perverse mental portrait of himself. Bob would rather cling to his illusions of power and influence than face the ugly truth.

Despite my complete and utter disdain of the man, I want Bob to live a long life because I want him to be miserable. He built this prison for himself and he can go rot in it and hopefully gain enough self-awareness to realize that he wasted his life on hollow pursuits and plunge into existential despair. However, I will take a complete mental breakdown as a consolation prize.

it's funny how he talks about old deleted tweets when his current ones are pretty awful, Bob doesnt usually overtly say what he actually believes. It's genrally just hinted at or infered, which means no one tweet can be used to 'prove' it. Even his most infamous tweets don't quite go there and usually have a get out clause

I have to wonder what this almost is-Corrective rape? Family member execution? damnatio memoriae? How far down the ladder do we go ?
I think this is why the negative backlash is really kicking in, any one of his posts seems innocious. Like a family member cracked a low brow joke about a minority-a little on the nose but it can be given the benifit of the doubt. But if that's all you fucking do is make snarky comments all the time then the odds are uncle bill hates black people. But when all the times he's said nasty ugly things about blue coller workers and morality are put into a larger picture and what he really thinks.

If a person isn't their circumstance, then what's wrong with letting the supposedly genius pee o'seas stay in their shithole countries?

"A person is a reaction to their circumstances" you say? If the circumstance is such that you need to eat and all fast-food places are closed, the reaction must be to grouch on the internet, instead of, you know, cook for yourself like the obsolete people do.

There's like this holy trinity of cows that do not learn or change, and Film Robert is right there with Dobson and Wu.
Ron Howard voice:
In Far Cry 3, Vaan tells the player several times that insanity is repeating the same thing and expecting a different result.

Bob had never played that game.

It's Arrested Development.
