I'm not surprised that even though the Super Mario Bros is being co-produced by Shigeru Miyamoto (y'know, the guy that Bob claims to have "saved his life, more times than he knows" and dedicated his shit book to over his own family), Bob is still sperging out about the Super Mario Bros, all because the people behind The Minions are also involved.

For a guy who advocates change, he sure is opposed to it when it comes to Mario.

I saw this coming from a mile away. And I said the following. As long Nintendo is in charge of production, it will be fine. But of course Moviebob would have his jimmies rustled. He's the most toxic, and immature mario fan out there. Having illumination take helm of it despite not having concrete evidence of who would be in charge is enough to call heresy on it. I'm not the biggest fan of the studio either, but I can see a very protected IP when it shows.

Uhhhh... Everyone knows about Wakanda? They're in the United Nations in the MCU? The fuck is Bob smoking?
He half watches the MCU and fills in the blanks his attention span gave him with stuff he knows from pop culture caricatures of the characters in general. He gets plot points wrong a bunch of the time and I'm not talking about alternative ways of reading into something, I mean factual stuff like character backgrounds. Things like not realizing MCU Hulk is a failed super solider recreation like in the Ultimate comics or the fact that Asgardians in the MCU are aliens in the same sense of the Kree instead of the gods they are in the comics.

I don't doubt he watches them unlike how I doubt he reads any of the comics he talks about. He comes off as someone who's only interested in the big action scenes and has a hard time keeping up with dialogue that he assumes is throwaway.

I want to say the Asgardians are a mix of both. But that's besides the point. Bob's main source of knowledge is the wikpedia, and what the films tell him. He's incapable of actually opening a comic for unknown reasons. But his analysis skills are the ones of a 15 year old trying to sound smart.

For example. A true Spider-man knows about Spectacular Spider-man. It has been regarded as the best adaptation of the character to date. That show gives a bare bones schematics on how he works, how's his villains operate, and how big his normal life plays a role as a superhero. In fact that show FIXES Venom, and shows him how he truly is.

However Bob doesn't even dare to touch it since it would make his Amazing Spider-man videos be full of shit, along with his defense of Spider-man 3. But also because beneath that storm of snarky language, lies a guy who doesn't give a single flying fuck about the characters he's talking about. And will only address them when they suit his views.

According Tontino's Tojo, America cannot even turn its own undesirables into evolved Americans, but it's great at doing that for boat people.

Bob is Ackchyually made flesh.

It's reassuring to find shit like this out in the wild. Between his calls of "death to middle america" and "mario is the rosetta stone of video game narratives" other people are getting sick of this sallow skinned gas bag.

What does Bob produce? I know he "makes" videos, but what does Moving Picture Robert actually contribute to society?

What would even be the problem here? So they made the Minions movie and the Despicable Me trilogy.
You know, movies that made money. (like the Minions one made over 1 billion internationally). why would Nintendo not want to have someone make the movie that, who will NOT want to drag Nintendo to court so they can then put people into Mario costumes in Disneyland and sell Princess Peach dolls at Walmarkt for 15 bucks? You know, like Disney most likely would?

I know the Minion movies are not art, but come on. This could be worse. We could hire Dingo pictures. They would make the movie for like 5000 euros and some sloppy jims.
