I was taking a college class a couple of years ago and became interested in a classmate. We had some friendly chats and I found out she was single, and I offered to take her out to lunch. At lunch she tells me she likes me and would consider dating me as soon as she got some things sorted out, and I was willing to go along with that.
A week later she stops coming to school. I message her on Facebook asking if she's coming back, and she said she dropped out. I asked if we can still hang out and she bluntly rejects me. I get annoyed and tell her to "have a nice life".
A few days later I apologize for flipping out and say that I'm really into her and I'd like her to give me a chance (avoiding the clichés of "I'm a nice guy, I'll treat you like a queen", etc.). She says she's flattered but she's seeing somebody else. I wish her well and stop contacting her.
Curiosity gets the best of me, though, and I occasionally check out her FB profile over the next few months. She's dated like five different guys in that span, constantly posts shitty memes about how there are no good men out there, and in 2017 was engaged and broken up with the same guy no less than three times. Also, she's a ghetto trash skank. So I guess I dodged a bullet there.
