How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

We really need a Fat Man Yells At Cloud meme to take off.
I was going to make that exact meme yesterday after reading one of Bob's rants and don't know why I didn't. Anyway, since there's demand, here it is now:

And here's an exploitable so other people can join in the fun:

Bob acts like buying a ticket to see Black Panther is a good deed like giving your extra food to a poor hungry person. Instead of what it actually is, entertaining yourself watching the latest comic book action flick in a long line of never ending line comic book action flicks.
I will never understand the adoration SJWs have for Disney...Well actually I do. The Mouse is just really really good at the marketing game. How else could you you explain "Liberals" creaming themselves over a soulless Megacorp and it's products?
Well besides :autism: and Millennials being manchildren of course.
As for Black Panther what can one say? I've heard mostly good things and it's a Marvel movie. We'll probably/inevitably see this same BS play out again next year with Captain Marvel except on an even grander scale cause Muh capeshit but with Women! And then the film will come out and just like Black Panther it will probably be good but vastly overrated by people like Bob.

Do Bob and his ilk get $20 and a sad handjob from a hooker in a Disney princess getup every time they give a positive mention to a DisneyMarvelStarWars film? Just about every Marvel film I've seen is about the same, made by committee popcorn movie with a slightly different cast. They're products made to maxmize cash flow, and this time Disney managed to tap into the "woke" idiots getting people to think it's "important". It's a simplistic fantasy movie. They're all- everything Disney produces anymore- is a simplistic fantasy movie. And I mean Harry fucking Potter, which is usually a designated shitting franchise for me, has more depth.

It's not as if there's been some moratorium on black people or women headlining movies or directing movies. Have you heard of Mary Pickford, Bob? She was like the first well-known movie star and had considerable behind-the-scenes pull when she formed United Artists. Of course, this was in the 1920's which is before Star Wars or Mario so it may as well not exist.

But I mean, this shouldn't surprise us. Even if the studio isn't paying Bob, he and a lot of his fellow critics have really childish taste and are easily offended by anything that doesn't fellate their worldview.

Not even Disney could afford the prices hookers would charge to blow Bob. The accountants looked at it and figured the money would be better spent buying Fox.

In a metaphorical way it's an almost parasitic way of viewing the source material. I honestly doubt the companies that own them want them to fail even if it's not as profitable, that makes little business sense. The DCU and Earth-616 have baggage but that's literally the best thing about them. They can and have explored things deeper than adaptations would ever be able to capture. If you want your IP farm then you need to make sure that legacy never dies. It takes a special kind of uncreativity to not be able to make anything at a forge of unlimited possibilities.

I always see the MCU as a dumbed-down of Earth-616 meant for public consumption. Bob often proclaims that "COMICS! ARE! WEIRD!" but only makes a token effort to understand them and complains about continuity and how it is something fanboys jerk off to. NEWS FLASH! :powerlevel:I started buying Marvel Comics at the height of the continuity-heavy stories like "the Clone Saga" and "Age of Apocalypse" when I was preteen.:powerlevel: It really says something when a twelve-year-old keep up with some of the most convoluted stories Marvel produced, but Bob is both too stupid and lazy to make the effort.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that he has no evidence to back this claim up.

Bob turned 37 today. Just figured I'd bring that up.

Well, comics can be weird, but at their base, you should probably be able to understand a superhero's motivations and backstory within a few minutes. Grant Morrison explains Superman's entire backstory within the space of four panels on one-page in All-Star Superman and does so in a way that's not dismissive and is kind of endearing.

:powerlevel: :autism: One of the reasons I never really got heavily into modern comics is so many are just endless continuity porn and crossover events. There weren't a lot of one shot stories and I didn't want to read 50 different books to figure out what was going on. Incidentally, my favorite Marvel books were always the "What if" stories that would pit Wolverine against Conan or something. You look at Golden Age or Silver Age Batman or Superman and they're usually confined to the events of that book. But unlike Bob, my response was to look for something else I did like, and I was much happier for it.

Huh, Bob. Maybe if you played something other than Mario you'd remember Adam and Skate from Streets of Rage, Balrog and Dee Jay from Street Fighter, the Sorceror from Diablo, every Redguard in the Elder Scrolls games, not to mention sports stars headlining games, like Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, Mike Tyson, and Kevin Bacon.

Of course none of those games took place in late medieval Bohemia...

Do you think Bob legitimately has the mental ability to comprehend stories like "Age of Apocalypse" or "The Clone Saga"? His mind can only comprehend the most basic and simplistic stories in existence. He probably couldn't even handle one of my favorite Iron Man story-lines "Armor Wars".

He'll probably dismiss it as another "generic dudebro medieval game" like when he said that Skyrim and Dark Souls are the same thing (actually i'm not sure if Bob or Dobbo said that, but i'm leaning towards Bob since Dobbo actually likes Skyrim).

No, that was kind of the point. Bob will never understand comics. Additionally, I would have liked Iron Man 3 if it had adapted the "Armor Wars" storyline.

For love of... no one is denying that black people existed in 1403. They largely stayed on the African continent with a few exceedingly rare exceptions. What a historically illiterate fuck.
