I think the best execution of this idea would be just make like a dozen distinct characters with their own schedules and a bunch of less-interesting filler students, and then have it be multiplayer.

Oh no. SOMEONE sent Senpai a love letter. We can't have that. We're the only one for him.

Everyone gets assigned a random special character and the AI takes over the rest and plays them normally so nobody's sure which other students are actually malicious until things start happening or sufficient evidence is gathered to prove that a particular character is or isn't actually lusting after Senpai.

This would sort of bring together the good aspects of Hitman, SpyParty and Beholder and would probably be pretty fun to watch as well as play even in early access. All it would need would be a few ways to commit murder, collect information, and direct unaffiliated students from place to place (eg: fire alarms).

I think his twelvies would love this. But I also think implementing multiplayer is far beyond Eva's capabilities and it would be an endless glitchfest.

I think it's just one of those "fuck you dad" phase that teenagers go through except he never grew out of it
But he takes it to an extreme, didn't he admit to wanting to murder his parents once? If I remember correctly he had a fantasy about murdering his father because his father wanted him to go to school, get an education, and make a life for himself.

jesus christ - is he just one freakshow moment after another??
wait i know im regurgitating a joke but we all know the reason why he's like this
:autism:
but also more seriously there's something psychologically wrong with him and he definitely has high narcissism traits and possibly something much deeper - i hesitate to say sociopathy, but...

I wonder if him hating his parents is his way of projecting frustration over not being able to leave the house despite being close to his 30s. Like he’s so thoroughly narcissistic that he instinctively blames them for not being able to take care of himself on a subconscious level.

In all honesty, it's depressing to see all of this. Alex had so many chances and opportunities to be successful and be recognized as a competent dev but he threw them all away. If he at least tried to take some months off to learn and improve his code or hire somebody to fix it, Yandere Sim wouldn't be the clusterfuck full of bugs and meaningless features it is today. He'd gain a positive reputation and his fanbase wouldn't be falling apart but he just sits there and decides to act like a manchild.

Alex's Patreon usually jumps after video release but it didn't happen this time. Are his supporters getting annoyed with these filler updates?

i do remember him saying that he was going to stop making filler vids (if that's been mentioned sorry only on pg 506), but glad 2 see that he's lying lol

it's not like his patreon losing money is gonna do anything detrimental at this point, his sheckles are bountiful :story:

With how he acts, I feel he has to have a Psychological Disorder. Definitely NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) but him being a Sociopath is a bit of stretch in my opinion. Sociopaths usually have a childhood trauma (his parents seems normal enough, from what I know) so he'd lean more towards Antisocial Personality Disorder, as that is more genetic based from what I understand of the disorder.

antisocial does sound plausible - i had really said sociopathy bc, from this article, he shows a few signs (it mentions an impersonal/trivial sex life and....well....). when i googled it to get the article, this showed up, which suggests that APD and Sociopathy are rather similar.

From what I undertsand, the only real difference between the two is nature vs nurture. Sociopaths are molded solely by their environment, while APD is more genetic based. I could be wrong though.

sociopaths are not environmental, i looked it up and it seems it can only really happen if trauma is applied to some part of the brain

tho maybe if alex hit his head hard enough complaining about tendies..... :tomgirl:

:powerlevel:i'm a psychology student, so this is something im interested in:powerlevel:

Since Alex was homeschooled his whole life, he never had any meaningful interactions with anyone that wasn't based on begging mommy and daddy for whatever he wanted. So his passive aggressive bullshit is probably the only way he knows how to get what he wants from people with no backbone like his parents. But he's finding out that everyone can see through it and won't tolerate it like his parents.

I don't think it's a great idea trying to diagnose people on the internet. We only have so much information on Alex, and his interactions could be explained by other factors. Stress and sleep deprivation could be factors in to the way he acts rather than a personality disorder.
They could, which is why I pointed out that I could be wrong.

:powerlevel::offtopic:I also studied Psychology for a short while, and it's interested me as well, that's why I speculated. My apologizes if it got too off-topic. /:offtopic::powerlevel:

idk, i was only suggesting those based on how he presented on the internet. i don't think sleep deprivation would really twist someone's actions this bad + it's not like it's suddenly a new thing. it could be stunted social growth, it could be just general asshole disposition, we just don't know

It’s hard to properly diognose someone when you can’t directly observe or study them. Personally I think Alex is lacking in the grandiosity that makes NPD so prevalent. You could argue that his bad scheduling is a form of grandiosity where he overestimates his work efficiency, but it’s just as easy to argue that he simply has no logistical sense instead. True grandiosity goes beyond unrealistic expectations and into being so completely disconnected from reality that those affected often hurt themselves and others around them inadvertently. For example if a person with NPD sees an armed robbery take place, then they’ll immediately try to subdue the robber even if they have zero hand-to-hand training whereas a normal person would try to just get away from the robber to safety. From what I’ve seen so far I homestly don’t think Alex is at that tier of narcissism. Sure he’s full of himself, but I don’t think he’s a total basket case that warrants diognosis (at least not yet).
