Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

Speaking of Stardew Valley I looked further into the "diversity" mod I posted earlier and it has quite some racial stereotyping with its redesigns.

The nerdy computer programmer kid was made Asian.

The beach hermit was turned into a Jamaican dude.

The "one with nature" artist chick is now Native American.

The town doctor is now Indian.

Why is it when people try to redesign characters for the sake of diversity they just end up with something even more racist?

Don't forget they made Demetrius albino.

Tumblrinas have a tendency to confuse coding with stereotypes. But it's important to know the difference.

Coding is when writers put hints in the text alluding to the subtext of a character using archetypes. Timone and Pumba from the Lion King are an example of coded-gay characters.

Stereotyping is applying a behavioral quirk to an entire group of people based solely on their ethnicity, sexuality, culture, etc. English people, for instance, are stereotyped as having bad teeth.

Tumblr tends to think that if a character is or does something that happens to be a stereotype of a certain group, they must belong to that group in the subtext. An example of this would be people thinking Dave Strider is black because he raps.

This looks like a horrifically tumblrized Jon Arbuckle from Garfield, not freaking Yamacha.

What drugs did this artist take?

Because they would have to be outrageously high to post something that ugly for the internet to see.

Maybe they're not even human. I really really doubt anyone would draw this, look at this and thinks it's good enough to upload it online.

Another day, another bunch of terrible Fire Emblem fanarts that depict a slim and pale girl as fat and dark-skinned...

I really dunno what's with the creepy obsession of the fandom with making Sumia look nothing like herself. I know, she's not the only one, but it seems to be ESPECIALLY strong with her since I see Black!Sumias and Fat!Sumias every-fucking-where. My guess is that the "fanartists" who pull this shit are using a canonically clumsy and awkward character like her as their self-insert, so their fat or black Sumias are supposed to be ~more like them lol~.

The first picture wouldn't be too bad if it were an OC instead and not Sumia. The second one looks like blackface. It's sad these people want more diversity in games yet ignore actual canon non white characters. For every piece of fanart of Flavia or Rinkah there are ten black washed Camillas and Sumias. The only FE PoC anybody cares about is Niles but we all know why that is.

Cool, replace [trans] with anything normal and it's boring to them. So, if you wouldn't date straight men/women, bisexual men/women, gay men or lesbians, does that mean that you too aren't really to fully commit to a relationship?

PS, the dude that said he dated a tranny looks like a massive cuck.
