Today mom ranted at me again for no reason (she does that masterfully, you can just say "Hello", and five minutes later she would be ranting), before disdainfully concluding "you totally need a sex change, you are like a man anyway" (as in, useless).

Today I bought 2 for $6 whoppers for me and the gf at Burger Monarch and drank Irish whiskey and watched film noirs with my dad. This is turning into my normal Saturday night thing.

- I saw three cats today while I was driving around. Three. One crossed in front of my car while I was driving past a trailer park, one was chilling in a ditch, and one was just sitting in the middle of a sidewalk. I never see cats out in the wild and today I saw three. This is a sign of something, but I'm not sure what. Probably something bad, though.
- I was killing some time at a used book and vidya store this evening, and they had a merchandise display of Mario products. A few games, a couple of shirts, and, I swear to God, a fucking hardcopy of SMB3: Brick by Brick by Bob Chipman.

Had a good time visiting the gun shop and talking about M1 Garands with the shopkeepers. Got talked into joining a jazz band. Had the world's best meatloaf, a nice glass of champagne, and watched a good Lupin the Third movie. All with the best brother I could ever ask for.
