Okay well since no one else wanted to check, I bit the shit and scrolled through his deluge of a channel - he did beat the story mode. It's not particularly hard, but it takes forever to beat (at least if you actually want to beat all the battles on the map.)


So yeah, there's at least that.

And I believe the premium edition unlocked the blue sayins. But I could be wrong there. I also know that the A21 unlock was later released as free DLC but I don't know if that was after Phil's first rage quit.

You're both right and both wrong. The SSGSS versions of Goku and Vegeta were unlocked either by pre-ordering the game, beating the arcade mode with good enough ranks, or by collecting a fuckton of zeni (money).

Android 21 was immediately unlocked to anyone who put down more money, I'm not sure whether it was just the character season pass or the Ultimate edition that unlocked her, all I know is that she wasn't unlocked in the base version. She, too, was unlockable by just grinding for cash if the player wasn't interested in playing the story.

I say this because I bought the game with another person, and they got the Ultimate ed. while I got the base version. Wiki probably didn't just mention the differences between versions.

"100%" has more syllables, therefore a much more sophisticated and intelligent word than "all".

This. Phil likes to use as many words as possible, which is why he often combines his "ONE. HUNDRED. PERCENT" meme with redundant words like "literally" "completely" and "absolutely", repeated over and over again.

E.G. "That is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT, completely fabricated dood! It's absolutely false! Literally one hundred percent slanderous comments about me!"

Just one of many reasons why his prestreams are flirting with the 2 hour mark more regularly now.

I believe he did an Arcade run before beating the story and when you do Arcade it goes to a standard character selection screen and if i'm recalling correctly Android 21 did not appear.

Should be noted that he did a special set of videos after unlocking 21.

You could also unlock 21 by buying the strategy guide for the game.

Interesting. I thought that his prestreams were always so long, but it seems that post-Christmas the lengths started to really get erratic and jumped up too.

Does anyone know of a reason behind that?

If I was autistic enough I'd put it in a chart and try to correlate what his earnings are with how long his prestreams are. I'm not so sure there would be a link between the two, but maybe there is some relationship between "muh interactions (money)" and prestream length.

Also one of the reasons people sometimes write under detractor-videos something like:
"So many words, so little said". It's simply true, as stated before.
 
:offtopic: I am moving up to near phill in July ( not related, moving for work) We just purchased a home fro 389K with both me and my wife having 700+ credit and 20% down. Our monthly payment is going to be 2100. The house is similar in size to dsp's, but i would think he wasnt able to put 20% down so he would have PMI added. His monthly payment has got to be 2400+?

Phil moved there in 2014 so the house price was a lot lower.

A house in the same gated community was about $250k in 2014 and now costs $350-400k

Dang. So worst case scenario, he could just sell his house, cut loses and move back to the condo right? He might even make a profit and pay off taxes? i know it has probably said but this seems like the clearest option

I don't know why, except for he really fucking likes to talk about bullshit because he doesn't enjoy playing games. The worst pre-stream was the one right after he got back from adopting Kat. Pretty sure that one was over 2 hours long.
