What Are The Worst Character Designs You Have Ever Seen?

Klasky-Csupo's work is certainly hit or miss depending on designs, stories or characterizations. You either with it or not.

I was always mixed on their human designs, but their monsters were great.

I am a child of the 80s and 90s. I lived through the "dark ages" of comics and y'know what? I love it for being so awesomely terrible. let me introduce to one of my favorite characters, and I mean that with complete unironic conviction:

Behold: Adam-X: The EXTREME.

So if wasn't already painfully obvious, Adam-X THE EXTREME was a product of the 90s. A human-Shi'ar hybrid, he appeared a few times in Marvel over the years, mostly in X-men and X-Force. Adam-X was a skilled hand to hand combatant whose superpower was the ability to BOIL THE BLOOD of his enemies-- but only if they had an open wound, hence is why he looks like he raided The Shredder's closet.

Like all new franchise characters, Marvel tried their damndest to push this character. He was in a a couple of their X-men trading card sets, hell he even had an action figure. At one time, he was also supposed to be the third forgotten Summers brother, making him brother to both Cyclops and Havok. But alas, Marvel's editorial department reneged on that idea and by the end of the 90s, Adam-X THE EXTREME has fallen into obscurity, with only a couple of gag appearances since.

EXTREEEEEEEEME.
This guy is so edgy that he can literally cut you with it.

Just about everyone from Gundam Seed/Destiny all look like really crude DeviantArt OCs made by autistic teens. Doesn’t help that the characters suffer from probably one of the worst case of same face syndrome I have seen in any anime. In most shows I can brush it off, but if the male and female characters all look identical save for hair colour/style, eye color and their gender then you have a serious problem and should hire a new artist.

The Gundams were also really generic looking as well.

Keep in mind the Fusion sprite was designed for the pile of dark that was the early GBA, so NEON YELLOW AND BLUE isn't so unwelcome a thing in those circumstances.
The design for it in Samus Returns was immensely better, both color-wise, and design wise.

The colors don’t mesh into a mess like the spites did, and the textures look far better than in Fusion, where it looked like someone tried to fit spandex over the Power Suit and failed miserably.

I especially like how the Varia Fusion suit no longer looks like vomit.
Anyways, because I just remembered this...

God, I remember that shit when it was brand new and how everyone was spazzing out about it. Meanwhile, I'm one of these people that loved shit like Stardust Memory, 08th MS Team, and War in the Pocket and I thought this all looked like complete trash. Had to put up with people trying to convince me otherwise for years.

Anytime, I had to look it up myself. Most of what I know about the show is through tweets.
Doesn't help that Cartoon Network doesn't even play it regularly around here.

These sins of anime's past leap to mind.

Shame, and I used to enjoy the OVA series as well until that point. Someone had to shake things up in the second batch.
