Welp, it’s finally happened. Chris has discovered the wonders of capitalism.

Yes, Chris spat in all of our faces for doing something...actually kind of reasonable for money for once. Conventions are expensive things and I'm guessing due to the financial situation of the Chandlers, Chris can't just bankroll this on existing credit as he did in the past, so he's actually putting up stuff he's willing to part with in order for a greater reward.
He wasn't entirely good about it - there still was ulterior motive about selling Cole's shit because he's been trying to be subtle about wanting Cole to take responsibility for their mother's care for years - but we're talking about a mentally exceptional man who is on the record for begging for money in a room full of expensive toys. He's gotten to the point where he is selling those toys. It implies that maybe he's actually started to understand the value of money.
He's still going about it in the most autistic way possible but it's still progress no matter how minimal.
I suspect that him trying to bankroll Bronycon through this manner is a sign that the Chandler finances are too tight compared to last year. Which is saying a lot, frankly.
A poor condition Cybertron Leader Galvatron, missing parts, a lot of tarnish, and signed in his name after it was explicitly pointed out to him that kind of shit is stupid and devalues the toy - Chris got the message when it comes to vintage figures, but nobody wants his signature on toys of ANY kind.
Also Leader Galvatron retailed in 2006 for like, $40 (this was before the great price hikes of 2010).
Ahahah, oh fuck, that's amazing.
I disagree, people buying these aren't look for mint condition collector pieces, they want something of Chris Chan's. His signature adds value to that. Nobody is buying Chris's shit cause it's a good investment.
Would be interesting if he gets to work there, bronies can't say no, it's all about love and tolerance right? That may work with $10 items, but if he wants to make more than that, he has to make it himself.
Ahahah, oh fuck, that's amazing.
Chris hit that one out of the park. "Pleeease! pleeeeeeese! I might not be able to fart around with neckbeard bronies in an expensive hotel room for a weekend!"
Chris will try to borrow money from friends, or mooch off any of them that want to go, or ultimately if he can't pull any of those off, he'll try to sleep in his car. He wanted to do that for magfest a few years ago.
I want Chris to go, but I want him to just barely scrape by in paying for it. (And hopefully not by leaning on his friends.)
Why do people believe in this mythical chimp out video phenomenon?I think it'd be funnier if he couldn't go. We'd have more of a chance of getting a chimpout video or him doing something again.
Is it incorrect to say that the only 100% genuine chimp out vids were the "THAT IS MY HOUSE!" and the post Jessica curse video? Why do people believe in this mythical chimp out video phenomenon?
lol, that reminds me of a tweet he made last year, asking some other pony con if they could pay his way there in order for him to volunteer and get a free pass.Would be interesting if he gets to work there, bronies can't say no, it's all about love and tolerance right?

I'd need to go over the history, but there's very few of them and he got burnt out pretty early on in the trolling. Is it incorrect to say that the only 100% genuine chimp out vids were the "THAT IS MY HOUSE!" and the post Jessica curse video?
Would a more realistic expectation be "let's hope he spends a whole week posting passive aggressive tweets where he bitches about not getting to go and people not buying his crap"? People might be down to see that.I'd need to go over the history, but there's very few of them and he got burnt out pretty early on in the trolling.
We have fun exceptions once in awhile, but betting on chimp out videos is the tard lottery. Chris going is much more predictably funny.
You'll have to forgive me, I don't know transformers, but I do know cleaning second hand crap working in a pawn shop. That cassette looking one. That looks washed. You can see the swish on the left hand side. Considering the lightness of it, I'm guessing it was some washable markers. What would I do without you?! It doesn’t look too bad, I don’t see any obvious gloss rubs, the play wear is considerable though. Maybe it wasn’t a sharpie and some shit crayola marker that actually DOES wash off. I’m impressed he updated his photos.
On one hand Chris is willing to part with personal property to fund a personal want/need.
NO NOT THE BRONYCON TICKETSYes, Chris spat in all of our faces for doing something...actually kind of reasonable for money for once. Man, I can't really blame Chris for lying and exaggerating. BronyCon is probably only place in the world where he feels normal.Would be interesting if he gets to work there, bronies can't say no, it's all about love and tolerance right?
