"Peepul" are saying that GoW lacks variety in the weapons you use. This coming from the guy who used a cane in Bloodborne for what, the vast majority of the time at least? Seems like he's gearing up to say either A. people are blowing smoke up the game's ass and he's the honest one or B. people aren't showing up because he's doing "well" in the game. Or both, or neither, it doesn't really matter at this point.

All I know is that most of the people who watch him even semi-occasionally want to see him fail and rage, not just toss that fucking axe at every boss for minutes on end. He's been getting well over double the amount of viewers for Bloodborne than he has right now for GoW. That tells me that the TIHYDPs of Bloodborne have peepul primed to show up and watch him rage in real time. So in that way it's marketing of a sort, and hell it might attract more "troll" cheers.

There's just nothing to grasp on to in this playthrough, he's just average DSP boring.

He killed interaction a long time ago. If he wants to interact then interact. It's not difficult you fat fuck, just talk to people. Your chat moves slower than a crippled snail, it's not like you can't just pick something at random and carry it on. You're supposed to be an entertainer. Entertain you nonce.

Phil never understood what interaction on Twitch actually is. The popular streamers are successful because they interact with their chat to the best of their ability, and because that creates a friendly environment people tend to stick around and become more willing to throw some money at the streamer.

Phil just wants money, and it's so blatant that all he cares about is money that he scares off any new people who might have vague interest in Phil, as well as turning away his more loyal fans cause they eventually realize that their worth to Phil is their last donation. Nobody wants to be part of a community where you feel obligated to pay, otherwise you're not wanted.

From what I've seen from the game so far, why on earth would people want to watch someone who does not respect the game itself. No one wants to watch a guy chuck an axe on enemies 24/7 when there are tons of creative ways to go about the combat. And no one wants to watch a guy talking over the cutscene making really bad jokes.

There are just way better streamers appreciating the game and deserve the views more.

He's trying so hard to come up with reasons right now as to why nobody's showing up. He's flip flopped between three different reasons of - Everyone else is playing it, the combat isn't interesting and he's not at the good part yet. He won't admit it's him, he won't admit he's boring to watch.

People don't want to watch him play good games with good stories because he makes shitty clownish jokes and doesn't take the game seriously. It's been years since GOW3 and people want to find out what happened to Kratos and what direction the story is going in not listen to someone crack unfunny one liners over the dialogue.

I watched a few seconds of his stream and I couldn't stand how he would try so hard to be funny with off color jokes. I immediately closed the page. It was unbearable.

While unsurprising, it would be kinda amazing if he quits the game after all the hype. Especially since he actually finished Ni No Kuni which was a dead playthrough for a long time.

1.Play difficult, punishing games
2.Play games with a lot of personality (and don't ruin it with bad jokes)
3.Play multiplayer games

Or he could play whatever he wants and turn text to speech on for his donations. The entertainment is either Phil struggling and getting angry, or people saying inappropriate shit to him and seeing his reaction. He's done all that he can to stop both of those things from happening and now his stream has to hold up on merit alone lol

You're right, any 1 of those things could help him. A combination of those may very well boost him by a good amount of viewers maybe even subs.

However it's Phil. He ain't doing shit to improve.

Watched a little bit of Yakuza the other night and the way Phil was straining, squeezing to be funny or entertaining at any given moment was difficult to watch.

It's like watching someone bomb at an amateur improv night, or like watching a child try desperately to get a laugh out of visitors when his parents have company over.

Imagine being Kat and coming home from work to hear a grown man snorting and making poo poo jokes alone in an empty room, in an empty house.

I havent watched any of his GoW playthrough so I'm just gonna take a guess at how predictable it is. He will probably

1) Call Atreus a pussy, repeatedly

2) Whenever Kratos does a finishing move on an enemy he will go "UHHHHHNN" or "YEAAAAH"

3) Whenever a person or creature's life is at stake he will yell out to kill it

4) When a woman is on screen he will talk about her tits or lack of tits

From what I saw he is basically spamming the axe like you would an arrow so that he doesn't have to get in close. It's a very slow way to kil enemies.

I mean it's a valid way to kill enemies, especially if you are low on health. . .doing that the ENTIRE time is just incredibly boring and doesn't take advantage of the actual combos and combat tools the game does give you.

Add that it seems he just spent a few hours doing sidequest stuff. Which is fine. . .but if you're trying to get people engaged you need to engage the game and that means doing the story. The gameworld opens up fairly quickly once you hit the Shore of the Nine, but he just beebooped around not bothering to do so.

As someone said, it clearly isn't the game as it is the most streamed game on Twitch (or was when I checked it out). Yes that's "new game hype", but I don't remember Monster Hunter pulling that (it was in the top 5).

I bit the bullet and wanted to see what extended engagement is like, and you had two people: folks whining that the game isn't fun and others just going off on really random nonsense. If Phil was a better streamer you might think it's worth it to stick around, but the lame jokes and stilted commentary just doesn't work. I also don't think he helped himself by playing on Normal difficulty. If he actually played it on Challenge Mode there would be a mix of rage and a sense of accomplishment to make the gameplay actually worthwhile. There's a reason his Bloodborne streams got the views they were.
