There is nothing necessarily wrong with summarizing the movie but usually that should involve criticism throughout to justify it. Here he just summarized the movie.

In most of his videos he just summarizes movies and has a small criticism or analysis at the end that's as deep as a puddle. He usually only puts in effort and bucks the style to exploit popular trends or famous films, IE ghostbusters, chocolate factory.

And yet people lap that shit up and glorify him.

For those of you who don't know, Fard Muhammad is one of Doug's friends who's been working with him ever since The Uncanny Valley: he's the one who does a lot of the CG effects and the intro for the Nostalgia Critic, and he was involved in Dragonbored and Pop Quiz Hotshot as an actor (and he originally auditioned for Malcolm's part in Demo Reel).

From Fard's tweet, one could come to the conclusion that Doug hasn't left Channel Awesome and has no plans of doing so. Which means, instead of doing the right thing and saving the last shred of dignity and goodwill he has left by quitting Channel Awesome and abandoning Michaud, he'd much rather side with people who were actively covering up a rapist for 5 years.

Why this is the case, I see three options:

1. Doug was directly involved in the JewWario coverup himself and knows that if he quits Michaud will spill the dirt on him, which would be the final nail in his career
2. Doug is a disgusting greedy fuck who would rather condone protecting sexual predators than lose some income by potentially losing the Nostalgia Critic IP
3. Doug is legitimately exceptional and doesn't see why associating himself with Michaud makes it look like he fully supports these actions

I'm seriously beginning to think that Doug was WAY more involved in covering up Justin than we think, if Channel Awesome is the hill he's willing to die on. What possible other reason could he have for siding with a company whose reputation has been dragged throught he mud and most people already know what they did?

I'd say three because from what I've seen with that hardcore fan above and other hardcore fans, they don't even get why it looks like this whole time Doug has been supporting all this. And they're exceptional as hell.

That's how it always is, isn't it? We're here to have a good time, we don't need to drag anyone down for it. There's plenty of lols to go around. Lolcows get mad at us for bullying or something, but we don't actually harass anyone, we're just here for the fun. It's more pure than fandoms.

Ideologues believe their ideology outweighs anything else. Child porn isn't bad because it spreads manipulation of children, it's bad because THE ENEMY likes it. If you're a good person who uses child porn to fight the fight against bad people, they don't even see how that could be construed as contradictory, that's just how the world works to them. As dumb as Dan is when he pulled his stunt, he at least didn't PAY someone to produce more porn then write a story about it for journalistic reasons, and still try to play it off as "I saved those kids". We all know who that is, but Dan still loses for being more spiteful and more fundamentally dishonest (trying to prove something that really wasn't there).

Probably a mix of all of three. Doug knew about JewWario, he was in the chat logs, but it wasn't clear about how much he actually knew or if there were just complaints (he had suggested just TELLING Justin about complaints, what this says about him is anyone's guess). Maybe #2, but he's also tied down by Rob, who knew far more about the JewWario incident than he did. Even if Doug was content to go back to sweeping floors, and I don't think Rob would let him get away with it. #3 is plausible, as we really don't know much about his "real" personality. I've long since held that NC is just an exaggerated version of his actual personality (the "I Quit" video certainly suggests that), but he's probably smarter than he lets on.

To be perfectly honest though, Michode and Rob Walker were the ones who fired JewWario anyway so I don't see why this should backsplash on them as hard as it is. I could understand if it came to light that they chose to keep him in spite of knowing what the did, but they didn't. What else could they do other than fire him? An expose video?

With Spoony being alive after all (his Twitter feed was restored, back to sperging over Trump), I'm sure he has heard about Justin and has said nothing. I wonder if he probably knew (like Todd) and doesn't care, or if he really didn't know (and is deep in denial). His personality and mental problems could go either way on this one.
