After more reading online, i think we are blowing the consequences out of proportion. Yeah, it's very retarded that Alex shut down his comment section but it's not like he is getting tons of dislikes or anything it was just a few comments that he could've ignored. His extreme reaction was pointless and won't really damage his image much.

But of course, it depends on how Alex will go from here on. If he opens it again, the fans would praise him for it but he is too coward to do that. If he doesn't then oh boy the shit will start piling up. Alex main source of criticism was (ironically) the youtube comments, many of his videos are random ideas that he throws and waits to see if people like it and if they don't he gives up (remember when Ayano fought yakuzas and murdered kittens?).

Discord? Alex will insta ban anyone who dares criticize him there.
Reddit? Alex can't power trip so he hates everyone there.

He probably won't take ANY fan input in consideration anymore, which will lead to fans getting angrier and more vocal, which will leads to Alex also getting angrier and potentially chimping out against his own fans.

I have to question the point of this though, I can somewhat piece together (no thanks to his lack of comments...) that the music will dynamically change/adapt to the school's current atmosphere, but why though? How often will the school's atmosphere change during gameplay to even warrant that? The state of the school's atmosphere should at most be calculated in between days, not while you control Ayano. Its not like things can go from cheery to bleak (realistically) within the span of a few minutes. I sincerely hope this is only for loading up academi at the beginning of a day, otherwise it just seems unnecessary.

He should'nt have done this in the first place. First he asks his fans to give him ideas and then is annoyed by the amount of ideas. He's throwing anything at the wall and sees what sticks. And so he's delaying more and more the development.
I'm not so up to date recently, but did he at least implement more hairstyles?

To be fair, the use of nested ternary operators could just be specific to that decompiler. I used dnSpy 3.02 to decompile what I assume is the same code (JukeboxScript.Start() in Assembly-CSharp.dll), and I got semantically equivalent if/else statements. Minor syntactical fuckery should be expected when looking at decompiled code; for example, the fact that all of the fields of this class are referred to in dnSpy using the "this" keyword is another purely cosmetic difference from the result that Sidon's fleshlight's decompiler (I think ILSpy) came up with.

To play the devils advocate, in a hitman game quick saves are pretty nice in case you mess up a dumb prompt.

Paperthin story and fetishes wouldn't really be a problem if he embraced the anime-meme game label. But he takes it seriously, and he wants you to take it seriously too as a compelling stealth game inspired by the Hitman series, while still not having an alternative currency to pantyshots. He makes these illustrated "Story focus" videos fully narrated and voice-acted giving away all of the lore, but if you look just at the text it reads like fanlore posted on his reddit page someone made up after watching Kakegurui.
I do not recommend the show, but it's funny how similiar it is to the game, if you subtitute gambling for murder, it's all fetishes, edge and the final boss being the all powerful family that owns the school, with their daughter being a white-haired Student President and some really bland characterisation all around, and being a top elite school while having gun-wielding crazy students walking around. But it's trashy fun that embraces what it is, and doesn't try to justify why things are the way they are.

I think he once said that coding is only a small percentage of the work he's doing, everything else is pretty much talking to volunteers, reading emails, creating lore videos and streaming answering stupid questions.
But even if he did spend 13 hours of putting actual content into the game, it's not because he's hardworking, it's because he's incompetent and constantly fucks things up.

I noticed that too. Seems like people are tired of promises and want the game to be finished already.

I doubt that he will have the game ready by 2019

Progress! His fans are making more progress smelling out his shit than he is making the game itself. I kinda hope this keeps up, as we all are aware this was set up for failure at the very beginning.
