Surely by now the brigands should realise that anyone still alive on the Kiwi Farms Estate are too badass to be destroyed by this.

It's like they never learn and now they're all corpses.
One day that adventuring bandit party we keep running into will find what they are looking for.

Wait, @Gentleburd how does killing the Shrieker make you feel?

It is a big 'ol bird after all.

The Shrieker stole my 20-sided die at the last Dungeons&Birbs meetup so screw them.
Also, all they did was scream about how the rolls were rigged and how the snacks were lame since we had chips and no dip. (Last time we had dip The Shrieker got it all over the character sheets and we had to remake them so we agreed no dip.)
And then they opened a door without checking for traps and screamed how it was no fair they got impaled with spikes. They for real claimed the BM (Birb Master) was picking on them! Ugh. They ruin every meet they show up at with their awful whining.

They don’t call that brat ‘The Shrieker’ for nothing. Good riddance.

If I weren't already something else I totally would be.

I'll be doing a segment on @Meowthkip's new class once I get back home. In the meantime enjoy a screenshot.

Isn't that a Twilight Knight? Edit: It actually says right there on the screenshot, I'm an idiot.

I await your summary on this later on, perhaps I shall get yet another class.

So generally-speaking, Kiwis, I break down the mod classes into a few categories:

Official:
Legit content, faggots. It's da best since it's designed to work and is the best-balanced.
Examples: Sheildbreaker, Crimson Court DLC.

Perfect:
These are the mods that are brilliantly done. They look perfect for the game setting, they fill interesting new party roles, and they fit the theme of the game. Under no circumstances is installing these ever a bad thing. They could effortlessly pass for classes in the base game and are absolutely worth using.
Examples: Pretty much anything by Marvin Seo, Omen Seeker Mod, Cataphract Mod.

Great:
These mods are close, but not as good as the tier above. They've got subtle flaws that make them less appealing, either some questionable design choices or design quibbles that make them harder to justify (for example, the Dragonslayer Knight is a ludicrously good agility tank that has a bunch of trinkets with no discernable drawbacks). Alternately they might reuse an animation or two or have minor issues that make them off somehow. Regardless, they're still good and worthy additions, they just have issues.
Examples: Caedwyn's Dark Souls Class Mod Variants, that fucking terrifying Condena mod.

Good:
These mods are the bare minimum of the "wow, seriously coinsider using this" category - either because their balance is too off or because they reuse animations or sprite meshes. Several of these try really hard, but they can't quite get over the problems affiliated with their design. They're worth using despite this, it's just really sad because they've had their potential cut.
As a good example, Exaelus' mods are here due to relentless animation mesh re-use, to the point where you can't ignore it.
Examples: Exaelus' Mod Variants, Twilight Knight Mod, Muscarine's horrifyingly sexy class mods.

Average:
Not really worth using but still potentially fun. Most silly class mods or basic class mods fall into this category, as does gameplay tweak mods.
Examples: Cannoneer Mod, Musketeer Enabler Mod.

Poor:
Meme mods are here, usable only for amusement. The absolute lowest of actually usable mods. Still potentially fun, but only because they're that stupid or as broken as the sphinx's nose.
Examples: Googly Eye Mod, Stick of Justice, Time Mage

Shit:
Either completely nonfunctional or absolute shit. Avoid.
Examples: My Little Pony Mod, Jersey Shore Mod.

Why do I bring this up? Well, Meowthkip's new class falls into category 3, and I want to get into why.

The Twilight Knight, a running thematic girl from another world, is an interesting fighter and serial crossover artist. She's been in almost half-a-dozen other games (at least), including Hell Dorado, Super Dungeon Explore, and Wrath of Kings.

She has come from another land to do battle with the abominations that lurk in our land, armed with a sentient sword and a magic blue lantern. She's squarely above-average in most regards physically save for her HP (which is a little worse than other frontliners). I originally thought she was gonna be similar to the Dragonslayer Knight, but in practice, she's a bit of a different beast. Since she's a bit of a /tg/ reference, I kind of love what she represents, but she has some issues, so to understand why I'm a bit torn on this girl, follow me below.

First of all and most obvious, her lore implications are shit, bit I'm willing to ignore that since she's the crossover character. But there's other issues. She has an array of different tricks, including radial damage, a stun, a riposte, and a slash that also cuts her own stress (which makes her remarkably hard to break). She also has a lantern skill that sucks Stress from one ally and gives it to her (where she can burn it off with the stress-removing melee). Because of this she's both a versatile support fighter and a solid frontliner despite mediocre HP.

There's some issues with her balance. Her animations are all right, even if her basic stance is weird-looking. Soothing Slash is so versatile that she's virtually impossible to afflict unless absolutely hammered. Many of the bonuses and penalties of her abilities are inaccurate (such as the fact that her Lantern skill has a natural self-stressing modifier). All of these are fine, but not dealbreakers. The problem is her camp skills.

Vng20wD.jpg

She has blatantly overpowered camp skills. The Blue Lantern is a 2-point "avoid campsite ambush" ability, and First Story gives both a massive stress resist a significant dodge boost for 4 points. These two alone practically invalidate other skills, since she can do the same things as other heroes for a fraction of the time units. And while she isn't @Randall Fragg's equal in terms of DEUS VULT, nor is she @Burned Man's offensive equal, she's more rounded and not religious, which means working alongside @AnOminous is easy for her.

If the guy behind her tightens up her mechanics a bit, you'd have a fucking fantastic class here. As it stands she's just good and fun, and one I'm glad to add to my party configs.

So a chick version of Elric.

Heads up: the latest update before Color of Madness has introduced a lot of nerfs/buffs. Hellion is nerfed. Leper is buffed with a skill that can be used in Rank 3 as opposed to being completely helpless outside of the front ranks. Damage trinkets are nerfed.

The general strategy of stalling/stunning to heal at the end of the fight: nerfed.

is Flagellant still pants shittingly OP in CoM?

Nope. He's basically been completely changed.

* Can't target row three anymore with Punish
* Punish damage boosted
* Rain of Sorrows has boosted Bleed damage and *is* worth using now
* Exsanguinate/Redeem, only usable 3/2 times per battle and give a battle-long debuff that cannot be herb'd off (-25% Healing done/Recieved); They are now only usable at 40% HP or less
* Reclaim HP recovery doubled (This is actually really good)
* Endure reworked to leech stress from allies

The Flagellant is no longer game-breakingly powerful as a second-liner, and has more variety you'll see used now. I'm actually pretty pleased by it.

Also stall/stun/heal is completely broken. Anti-stallers are thrilled with this.

Also Koreans are pissed because they're a bunch of gooks. Or whatever. Apparently they're dissatisfied with the localization and are review bombing.

Pretty much anything that could stun more than one target is now use-limit restricted. This completely demolishes a lot of setups against certain bosses. The Anti-Stall changes are bullshit and exist solely to enable color of madness. The big problem I have, however, is this:

....They nerfed damage trinkets, including the Martyr's Seal.

You can no longer kill the Heart of Darkness without losing people unless you either mod it out or use exploits.
