The work is not very good upon further inspection. It mixes stylized features with heavily rendered planes. The result is lots of small mistakes and weird proportional issues that create an uncanny feeling. The eyes are so dead and focused incorrectly compared to the photo.

It fails as a caricature and a realistic portrait.

I was surprised to see people considering it good in the first place. It's not "I've never doodled since middle school" bad, but it's definitely amateurish. As soon as he started failling to transfer elements from the reference photo accurately, his lack of anatomical knowledge shines through and all the proportions go to shit. It's definitely not the worst stuff out there, though.

I'm no artist, I haven't got an eye for these things, but it's definitely not so bad that he couldn't fix those kind of mistakes with practice, he clearly has a talent for this even if he hasn't honed it. At the very least his skill is marketable.
Edit: You could sell little stylised portraits to people to use as twitter avatars for ~$5 a piece, it would be a good way to make a name for himself and practice at least.

That's true, but I feel like you're ignoring the big picture.

Implying that Cosmo could make a career out of this type of work is like saying that Terry Davis could go back into working with the tech industry, imo. They might have talent, but they're utterly insane individuals and that fact manifests in their work (and if not in the work itself, in the productivity and other aspects that impact that work).

I just don't see it as feasible or realistic. It's a nice thought though.

He wouldn't be able to do commissions because that would mean being responsible but he could stream himself crafting it. What you think about the art itself is pointless, because there is a public for it on the plataform, and he could find supporters for sleep streams so he can find supporters for anything.

It is enough skill to make a living off on twitch, or tumblr,or dA. You don't need to be good to make money out of art.

I've seen worse, way worse drawings used in commercial settings. You could easily make a living wage out of it. I'm not saying go work for Disney but there's a market for low-rent illustrators (small publications, local business, print shops doing small jobs (menus, banners, etc)).

It's not glorious "the fasteststststs troon in a world to walk character from point A to point B" job but it's sustainable.

to be fair, Narcissa will never take that option. It just doesn't draw the same attention that speed running, begging and porn streaming does

Even the colors are off compared to the photo. It was color picked without much consideration of the light source and the warmth/coolness of the figure. You have to understand that Narcissmo has a bachelor's in graphic design and was spoonfed these skills. It's uninspired and wonky by illustration standards.

It's why the majority of illustrators who make portraiture do cartoony caracitures instead; realism has to be perfect or else it causes discomfort in the viewer.

As in, what is Cosmo's ideal end game in chickness? Take that & beat the shit out of her, don't feed her for 2 months, and give the end result a circa 1962 Beatle moptop?

I'm chilling there myself. Narc doesn't bother me like most people. I've grown used to intolerance, so seeing people try to pull them down is more amusing to watch.

I remember seeing some Cosmo videos awhile back before I knew about the trooning out. It's amazing how far he fell. That's really too bad.

For a long time I didn't even know about Narcissa. If his hardcore fans are still calling him Cosmo then that really speaks volumes about how bad it's become. He must be a really sad person inside.

I saw the Mister Metokur video about GDQ. The vile Dilation Station made me want to hurl. You know damn well no one properly cleaned those dildos. There's got to be a major health code violation in the very idea that this was ok to set up. Those dilation dildos were originally used for women with sexual dysfunction. Either because of psychological reasons or diseases that caused the vagina to to lose it's elasticity and swell shut. They were medical devices and not sex toys. I can only imagine what was up for grabs at the Dilation Station and how low the dildo count was by the end of the event.

Getting back to Narcissa, people on social media were horrified about that poor guy deadnaming Cosmo. But with Narcissa's footprint barely there because of a lack of motivation to do damn near anything what do people expect?

It's sad and Narcissa needs a ton of help. But you can only lead a horse to water. You can't make him drink.
